Mr. Fischer served in the N a w from 1944tol946. He married Angie Ballard of Whitehall Feb. 18,1952. He was a randi foreman on area ranchers and alao worked for the Fonat Servicefor several y e a n . -Butch and Angie have managed the Bicentennial Apartment build- ' in g since February 1984. Mr. Kjelstrup also graduated from universities in Michigan, Indi- >s|uia, Illinois and Oregon. He was an advanced math teacher and- taught school at Flaxville, Plentywood, Big Timber, WolfPoint, Glendive, and San Mateo and Daly C ity, C alif. He retired in 1979. S p e n s e r E d w i n W h i t w o r t h R$nch owner and pharmacist Spenser Edwin Whitworth, 86, died Nov. 10 a t Parkview Acres Conva lescent Center- Funeral services w en Nov. 13 a t the Brundage Funeral Chapel. Ih e Masonic Lodge conducted services and burial was in the Mountain View Cemetery. Mr. Whitworth was born Jon. 2, 1903 in lim a to Winnie BeU a n d . George A. Whitworth, pioneer resi dents of Beaverhead County. He attended the Whitworth school- house on Big Sheep Creek and then Beaverhead County H igh School.' He graduated firom the Univer sity o f Montana School ofPharmacy in 1927. 1 He and Afton Lloyd w e n mar ried Jan. 29, 1929 and the couple ranched a t Big Sheep Creek,' the Ruby Valley and Anderson Lane with a family corporation/ After the ranch was sold, he worked in various phimnacies throughout the state. Mr. Whitworth served two terms as president of the Montana Woolgrowers Association, four terms as president of the Dillon Chamber of Commerce, and was active in the Beaverhead-Madison Mining Association. He was past-president of the MontanaStockgrowers Association, a charter member o f the D illon Elks Lodge No. 1554, a member of the Republican Party and o f the Lima \ Evergreen Masonic Lodge, Knight Templar, the Dillon Royal Arch Masons and the BagdadShrine Temple. He is survived by his wife; and brothers, Bernard andGeoige.. Nov. 13 for Patricia - Carrigan Thiele who died Nov. 9 of an extended Alness.. .. ' She was bom Sent. 23,1928 in Dillon to Victor ana Jewel Carri gan. She graduated from Beaver head County High School and a t tended Western Montana College. ' She was amember o f the Episco pal Church and a member o f the Eastern Star chapter and Eagle Lodge.. She was employed a t die First National Bank and Telephone Company in DQlonfor a short time and was employed a t the Bank of Commerce in Idaho Falls for 20 yean. In 1048 she married David Holverson in DiUon. They made their home in Dillon for afewyean, ■hen t moved to Idaho Falls where she has since made her home. He precededherindeathMay 13,1974. She married Norman Thiele September 1982. He survives in Idaho Falls. Other survivor* include daugh ter and son-in-law, J i l and Larry Fransen and son and daughter-in- law, Chad and Pam Holverson of Idaho Falls; sister and brother-in- law, Donna and Rubin Simon of Murtaugh, Idaho, and four grand children. M a u r i c e B a i i e s t r o Maurice Ballestro rfBentonville, Ark., died Oct. 29 a t Bates Memo rial Hoepital. Mr. Ballestro was bom Dec. 29, 1905 in Van B u n n , Ark., to Mau rice Jamee Ballestro and Lydia Lawrence Ballestro. He was a re tired bus driver for the Chicago Transit Authority, an avid fisher man, loved to garden and collected stamps. He and h is wife o f 66 years moved here in 1978. Survivors are h is wife Hazel, o f the home; a son and daughter-in- law, Donald and Sandra Ballestro of Carbondale, HI.; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Bob Boyce ofDillon; one sister, H ildaBallestro of Washington, D.C.; four grand children, Jim and John Ballestro, David Boyce, and Brenda Malkov ich, and one great-grandson, Kyle Malkovich.
