Dawes and Joy Lott and Boyce and Julie Lott and family drove to Bountiful, Utah, and picked up Janelle and Laree and drove to Portland, Ore., where they attended the wedding of Dawes and Joy’s daughter, Lynn and Jeff Vial on Saturday, Nov. 4. *niey were overnight guests of their children in Blackfoot. They drove on to Seattle where they vis ited with their daughter, Laree and her husband, who is recuperating from an operation. They returned home on Monday and on Tuesday, Joy took Janelle back to Ricks and Laree McGarry and daughter, Shawna to Bountiful. Scott is a junior a t Beaver* head County High takingclasses in French, algebra, music, busi ness, chemistry, English, and world histoiy. Scott was nominated by his French teacher and speech coach, Katy Paynich. According to Paynich, Scott has \high aspi rations and goads and always challenges his abilities.\ As co- captain of the speech team, Scott is “extremely supportive ofother teammates. He sets an excellent example...leading by kindness.\ Besides being an excellent student, Scott is involved with the French Club, Pep Band, cross coyntry, track, 4-H, and his church youth group. Scott is admired ty the fac ulty for his helpftd attitude ih class. “We work in groups of four many times and he is very will ing to help those who are having a hard time in his group,\ said math teacher Dave Cypher. - *1 really eqjtiiy Scott in class and appreciate his participa tion,” said English teacher Janie Petersen; Glen Pioneers \David and Andy Miller, Ben Lucon and David Marchesseault went to NILE from the Glen area. The Glen Pioneers 4-H club ac cepted the goals and program for the 1989-90 year. H ie d u b voted to give $15 to Warm Springs Hospital, $25 to the 4-H B uilding for its up keep and box w ill be put a t the Glen store to collect gifts for the Boulder River School and Hospital. Thanksgiving plates for the community of Glen will be done on Nov.21.Livestock Judging Day w ill be held a t the Garrison ranch on Dec. 3. Rattlesnake Wranglers On Nov. 7 the Rattlesnake Wran glers had their 4-H meeting with president Shana Detton calling the meeting to order. Cory Harrison led the 4-H pledge and Jeremy Proctor led the American pledge. On old business the club talked about the Harrison hone judging and Terese Tommerup talked about tho halloween party. On new business the new mem bers told the club a little about themselves and tdd what they were going to take for 4-H this year. New members are: Johnna Clinton, Terra Dallasena, Lacy Figg, Allison Proc tor, Melanie Sigman, Jenni Ed wards, Jamie Watkins. There was roller skating, a picnic lunch, and later bobbing for apples and costume judging. Nov. 4 the Stock and S titd i held its second meeting with the pri mary focus being the election of new officers. They are: president, Katie Tow; vice president, Steve Holton; secretary, Elizabeth Tow,correspon dence secretary, Jenny Holton; treasurer, Heath MartineD; re porter, Nanci Luce; and recreation leader, Jason Gray. At the meeting the'members decided to donate $25 to the 4-H Council, $25 to the State 4-H B uild ing Fund, and $25 to the State 4-H Fund. The meetings will now be held a t a member's home on the first Sun day afetwh month. A talk or demon stration will be given a t each meet ing.
