Burial iwas in Mountain View Cemetery with American Legion Post No. 20 conducting graveside services. HediedNov.24ofnaturalcauses In the'Butte hospital. He was bom Feb. 4, 1033, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Joseph and May Rose Nicoletti. Mr. Nicoletti was an Army vet eran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was awarded many m ili tary medals and honors and often said he would give up his life for the UnitedStatessoitsyoungresidenta could be free. On May 7,1946, he married U n a Gamboni in Brooklyn. .The couple traveled throughout the world dur ing his military career. After an honorable discharge firom the Army, Mr. Nicoletti worked at Christopher Newport College in Newport News, Va. - He recently had moved to Dillon with his wife and granddaughter, Melinda, to eryoy hunting and fish ing in h is retirement. Survivors include his wife of Dillon; son, W iliam Nicoletti of Newport News, and his grand daughter. L a m b e r t E l i e l Lambert Eliel died Nov. 23 in Mesa, Ariz., o f pneumonia. He was born May 6,1901 in Los Angeles, Calif., to Elizabeth Heine- man and Lambert E liel. He gradu ated from Hollywood High School in 1920. He worked in hotel management in San Bemadino, Calif., and Min neapolis, Minn., before coming to Dillon in 1923 where he joined the family firm, Eliel’s Department Store, which was founded in 1880. He retired from Eliel’s in 1965 and was an active member o f the community and belonged to the ChamberofCommerce, Rotary Club, Elks, Masons and many other civic organizations. Mr. Eliel married Eirene Mae Hollingworth May 29, 1926. She preceded him in death in 1977. He later married Ethel O’Brien ofMesa,Ariz.Shesurvivesandlives at the family home a t 2337 Gayr- iftlge, Mesa, Ariz. 85205. Services will be Sunday, Dec. 3, at 12 noon in Mesa, Ariz. L a w r e n c e B . M c G l v n e y A former official of the old Gilmore and Pittsburg Railroad Company;, and long time manager of the Lemhi Telephone Co., died Nov. 16 in Oconomowoc, Wis. Mr. McGivney was born Feb. 20, 1907, in Challis, Idaho and was a graduate of Leadore High School. — He married the former Leota Hughes in Dillon on May 23,1934. He first was employed as station agentfor the Gilmore and Pittsburg Railroad Co., a t Leadore on Oct. 25, 1926, and was transferred to Arm stead aschief clerk o f therailroadin 1927. On Sept. 1, 1939, he was ap pointed manager of the railroad salvage operation end Lemhi Tele phone Co A fter completing the rail road salvage operation he moved to Salmon on Fe.b22,1941,tomanage the Lemhi Telephone Co. He retired on Oct. 31,1971, with 45 years of service. He was a member and secretary of the Salmon Volunteer Fire De partment from 1942 to 1960 and served as secretary and president for two terms for the Salmon Cham ber of bommeree, served as a trus tee of the Salmon School District three years and was president of the Salmon Rotary Club. He was also chairman of the Steele Memo rial Hospital Board during the plan ning, construction and first three years of operation of the Salmon Hospital. He was also chairman of the Lemhi County Office o f Price Administration. Mr. McGivney was a past Exalted Ruler o f the Elks Lodge 1620 in Salmon, a member of lemhi Lodge 11, AF4AM and a member o f the Burlington North ern Veterans Association. After retiring, he and Mrs. McGivney traveled extensively while m aintaining their home Salmon u n til 1981 when they moved to Hemet, Calif. In May of 1989 them moved to Oconomowoc to be closer to their family. Survivors include his wife of Oconomowoc; two sons, Lawrence McGivney of W hitehall, Mich., and Dr. Glen P. McGivney of Amherst, N.Y., and seven grandchildren. Private services were held Nov. 18 in Dousman, Wis., a t S t. Mary’s Church with cremation following.
