What is this?
Optical character recognition (OCR) is an automated process that converts a digital image containing numbers and letters into computer-readable numbers and letters. The search engine used on this web site searches OCR-generated text for the word or phrase you are looking for. Please note that OCR is not 100 percent accurate. If the original image is blurry, has extraneous marks, or contains ornate font styles or very small text, the OCR process will produce nonsense characters, extraneous spaces, and other errors, such as those you may see on this page. In addition, the OCR process cannot interpret images and may ignore them or render them as strings of nonsense characters. Despite these drawbacks, OCR remains a powerful tool for making newspaper pages accessible by searching.

Eastern was troubled with a minor case of fumble-itis in the opening minutes when they set the Miners up on the 11, but the lone attempt fiz- zled when end Bill Hilton recovered their miscue. Navigator Bob Korin took over from there unleashing a pair of passes to tackle Ron Adams for the first tally. Minutes later he sent freshman fullback Doug Sabol over the center of the line for the second score. A 38 yard pass from Korin to Novasio made it 20-0 at half time. A key block by Stafford Hersrud on the opening kickoff set Rick Dun- can scampering for an 88 yard touch- down run down the sidelines. Gary Kellian, former Billings high half- back, scored the other two Eastern TD's. CENTER LANES AUTOMATIC \Your Downtown Bowling Headquarters\ 109 North 30th St. J. H. \Hub\ Davies, Owner
