About 125 guests were introduced to Homecoming queen candidates by student body president John Dracon. Dr. H. L. Steele, Eastern's president, briefly discussed the future of the college stating that its present site has a capacity for 6,000 students as it builds up instead of out. The out- look for athletes was commented on by Dr. H. S. Alterowitz, athletic di- rector. In addition to adopting the reso- lution in favor of the expansion of Eastern to a liberal arts college and urging consideration of the proposal by the Board of Education, the group also pledged support to Refer- endum 61. Radio-TV Students Plan Weekly Show on KOOK Eastern radio and television stu- dents will present the first in a ser- ies of 20-minute variety shows on KOOK radio at 9:10 p. m. Wednes- day, Kent Marler, radio-TV coordin- ator, announced today. Each show, presented by KOOK as a public service, will include Eastern Montana College news, an interview with a faculty member or student, musical selection and thought for the week. Wednesday, Ron Fisher will inter- view Coach Ken Karr concerning the all-important football match with Western. Ron Olsen is student an- nouncer this quarter. Students interested in participating in these shows should contact Mar- ler. They need not be enrolled in the radio-television course, he said. William Fox, Alumni Association president, welcomed guests and in- troduced Bob Deming, vice pres- ident, Peggie Denney, secretary- treasurer, and Stan Allred and Frank Morgan, board members. Miss Mar- jorie Stephenson and Miss Pauline Rich, long-time members of East- ern's faculty, were special guests. Student Union Institutes Film Classics for Students All the King's Men, the first of a bi-weekly film series financed by the Student Legislature and sponsored by the Student Union Board, was shown Wednesday in the Student Union. Coming films will be on Wednesday nights at 7:15 p. m., ad- mission free upon presentation of student activity card.
