Garrison, director of counseling, has expanded the coun- seling services into the residence halls, according to Dean of Women Carol Saunders. Dr. Garrison, Miss Saunders, and Student counselors meet in the Wom- en's Residence Hall Lounge during the week to discuss counseling tech- niques. EASTERNITES WED Fall quarter Homecoming Queen attendant Ruby Anne Swartz and James Gilbert Fraser, Jr., were mar- ried last month in Garden Grove, California. Both are now students at City College in Santa Monica. STUDENT HOSPITALIZED Lance Bedouin, sophomore philos- ophy major and student chairman of the North Africa Studies, has been interned at a local hospital for treat- ment of acute migraine stomach aches, Dr. Sigmund Jung, faculty advisor, announced Monday. DELEGATE SPEAKS Mrs. Ina Anderson, twice-dele- gated to the magazine McCall's panels in Washington, D. C., on im- provement of home living conditions, spoke on her trips to the Women's Faculty Group meeting last Monday in the Ed. Building. The group voted to raise funds for a scholarship in the field of educa- tion. Mrs. W. 0. Stibal, the group's publicity chairman, announced the next meeting, a luncheon, will be in the second week of April. BACK TO SCHOOL Tuesday saw the avant guard of a \going back to school movement\ supported by several Billings adults who are anxious to gain knowledge through formal education, Fred Van Valkenburg, Director of Adult Educa- tion at Eastern, said today. The adults who met Tuesday are taking the course entitled \Parlia- mentary Procedures and Leadership Live Better Electrically • • • • by Al Bielefeld Techniques\ under the direction of Richard C. Grover, Director of Forensics at Eastern. At some time during the course, each student will have an opportunity to participate in parliamentary techniques, such as acting as presiding officers, clerks, secretaries, or as informed members, Van Valkenburg added. Adults interested in the course who have not yet enrolled may still do so and should gain valuable experience in human relations and communica- tions, Van Valkenburg concluded. HANSEN HAPPY Dr. Halvor P. Hansen, Director o Speech and Hearing Clinic at Eastern Montana College, announced that the class for parents of children with speech problems, presently in its second week, has met with great success. Thirty parents and interested persons attended the second meeting Wednesday evening in the Adminis- tration building. The class has been well received and many questions were asked and discussed, Hansen said. Enrollment for this class is still open and all interested persons are urged to at- tend next week's meeting, he added. BRASS AT 2 Music 352 (Brass Class) will meet Wednesday and Friday at 2 p.m. in room Ad 402 instead of 9 a.m. as originally scheduled, the Music De- partment revealed Friday.
