Good thing they have a veteran like Dallas Leslie to show them the ropes. “We’re a young team, pretty inexperienced,” said Leslie of the team. “But we are getting better every week. If we are playing our best by conference tournaments, we’ll be all right.” The fifth-year senior has a lot on his plate. Carroll soccer finished the season with a 13-6-1 record. The regular season for Car- roll volleyball would end with a sweep over UM Western and a ity as well as dedication for Leslie. “The last couple of years I was in the background. I let the seniors run the show. This year it’s more of a leadership role. 1 have to be more outspoken,” he said of his new contribution to the team. “But I re ady do miss those guys,” he added about his graduated teammates. Although the Saints do boast a young team this year, Leslie has high hopes for their progress. “I’m looking forward to the sea son in general. Hopefully we can have a good enough season to get back to Kansas City,” he said.
