With gradua tion just around the comer, seniors should plan for their last events here at Carroll. “Graduation is such an exciting time that requires preparation for both students and parents,” said Mary Dutton, a registrar and direc tor of graduation. With the senior party being a hit with many memories made, less than two weeks of graduation events remain. On May 2-3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. graduates need to pick up their gown, hood, and baccalaure ate tickets, and complete a brief survey at St. Al’s. “As a reminder, students need to have a financial aid exit interview in addition to a cleared record from the business office in order to receive gowns and hoods,” said Dutton. According to Dutton, students should be aware that they only receive two tickets for the bacca laureate mass. On Friday, May 4, graduates need to roll out of bed and get over to the athletic center for rehearsal at 10 a.m. “It is important for students to be at rehearsal to get organized and also start getting both excited and sad,” said Dutton. After the rehearsal, a barbeque will be held for graduates, friends, and family, as well as faculty and staff. “The barbeque is a great time to thank your friends and faculty along with remembering your amazing years here at Carroll,” said Patrick Harris, student activi ties director. At 5 p.m. the ROTC commis sioning ceremony will take place in Trinity Hall, where Kyle Borne, Hats and tassles will fly on Saturday, May 5. Scout Murphy, and Mark Thompson will be commis sioned. The day you have been waiting for arrives on Saturday, May 5. At 10 a.m. Baccalaureate mass will be held at the St. Helena Cathedral. After mass, a senior picture will be taken on the steps of the Cathedral.
