Potucek T he Christmas season is quickly approaching. We have already seen the first batch of sledders take to Guad Hill and everyday more and more Christmas decorations appear in the dorm windows on campus. As one of our roommates commented, “It looks like Christmas throw-up in here!” (Here, being our living room.) Well, if that is what Christmas throw-up looks like, then Santa and the reindeer can continue making their way through the Carroll campus. We want to personally encourage everyone to decorate their rooms, plaster the floors and walls in wrapping paper, and tie big bows on your door with a welcome door mat featuring Saint Nicholas. To really top it off, you can blast the Katy Perry Christmas album and have a Christmas feast with your roommates. If you don’t cook, we recommend the Pizza Hut Big Dinner Box for $ 19.99. It will easily feed all of your friends and passerbys and you will even have some left over to leave with some cookies and milk on December 24th for the big man. This time of year also seems to bring out the best in people. Being out and about in Helena, we are always remind ed of the caring and compassionate community that Helena is. It is a time of year to support the local businesses and those most in need. We don’t know about you, but we tend to feel a surge to give back to the community that seems to go out of their way to give to us. Speaking of giving, this season is one that continues to send constant reminders of the dreaded finals! We are constantly wondering what grades we will get in just a couple weeks when our knowledge is put to the test. Well teachers, whom we all love so much, take this as a reminder of the holiday season of giving, and maybe consider giving us our holiday presents the week of December 12th. The gift of an A is one that won’t cost you anything and we all know it that it truly comes from the heart.
