What is this?
Optical character recognition (OCR) is an automated process that converts a digital image containing numbers and letters into computer-readable numbers and letters. The search engine used on this web site searches OCR-generated text for the word or phrase you are looking for. Please note that OCR is not 100 percent accurate. If the original image is blurry, has extraneous marks, or contains ornate font styles or very small text, the OCR process will produce nonsense characters, extraneous spaces, and other errors, such as those you may see on this page. In addition, the OCR process cannot interpret images and may ignore them or render them as strings of nonsense characters. Despite these drawbacks, OCR remains a powerful tool for making newspaper pages accessible by searching.

RAIDER REPORTER CHRISTMAS EDITION Volume XXXV No. 4 Winifred, Mt. 59489 EDITORIAL Lately in school, many conflicts have come up over the school lunches. People have been saying that the students have · . been wasting food while the students are saying that themeals are getting worse. We realize that most of the food we get is from governnlent funds and the cooks have to do with what they get. We also realize that it is . hard to cook for many people a meal that everyone will like. There's always going to be a meal that someone doesn't like. To advoid some conflict, there was a poll done recently on the school lunches. Their favorite five meals in order were hamburgers, taco salad, pizza, taco burgers, and hot dogs · · and chicken patties with a tie. The kids also noted on the poll that macaroni and cheese and spaghetti were the worst meals. When they . were asked to give some new ideas many said new sauces for meals, ' and not to use so much celery in all of the meals. When asked how they could make the worst meal better they said to have more cheese in it and don't make it so runny. Almost all of the kids noted that they would like to see a salad bar or a chef salad with.chunks of ham, boiled eggs, etc. in it. I feel that now that the cooks know what the kids like best and what they dislike, they can make more of it or less of it. This way I feel there will be less food wasted and SSCHO·oL PROGRAM The Winifred highschool and Grade school Christmas program was held Wednesday the 15th. The High School band played many Christmas carols including two more songs titled O Holy Night and Jazz Gloria. The high school choir sang Jazz Gloria, Ring Christmas bells, Christmas Roundelay, and what child is this. The grade school also played many songs on their horns while many played their tonnettes. The kindergarten thru sixth grade put on a play · called the Super Gift From Heaven. The program ended with the audience joining everyone to sing many Christmas carols. We also had a visit from Santa . Claus at tho end of the program. December 15, 1982 X-MAS JOKES Why are Christmas trees so expensive BECAUSE THEY nowadays? CHARGE SO DARN MUC'.!t MONEY FOR THEM.
