OUTSTANDING STUDENTS RECEIVE RECOGNITION The gymnasium of the Eastern Montana College Administration building Tuesday was the scene of much excitement and bewilder- ment as the Scholarships and Awards were presented to outstanding students. The awards assembly is held annually at the end of the spring quarter for the presentation and recognition to students at Eastern by interested organizations, business firms, and individuals. Wirz of Ronan, and Jacqueline G. Zieske of Shepherd. Rev. Page‘ to Speak At Baccalaureate Baccalaureate services will be held on Sunday, June 7, at 7:30 p. m., in Eastern's Gymnasium. The featured speaker will be Dr. John C. Page, Jr., minister of the First Presbyterian Church in Bil- lings. His topic will be \A Pur- pose That Holds.\ Dr. Page, who serves the Synod of Montana in the work of Minis- terial Relations, National Missions and Church Extension, has direct- ed and served as vesper speaker in several high school and college- age summer conferences. Reverend John P. Shannon of the First English Lutheran Church, Billings, will give the invocation, scripture reading, prayer, and benediction. The processional and recessional will be played by Mrs. Adelheid Blomster, an Eastern faculty member. Various choral selections will be sung by East- ern's Madrigal singers, under the direction of Dr. A. F. Humphreys. All graduates will be clothed in black gowns. Four-year graduates and Master's degrees will wear academic caps, but two-year grad- uates will not. Dark suits or dress- es and black shoes should be worn with the gowns. Following t h e Baccalaureate services, an open house, honoring the graduating students, will be held in the Student Union Build- ing. Parents of the graduates and all members of the faculty are in- vited.
