As part of a continuing effort to impact this problem, the Sweet Grass County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a countywide mailing to all alcohol-licensed establishments These letters encourage the merchants and their employees to diligently scrutinize alcohol sales to ensure that the purchaser is of legal age. A number of points that can be used to help determine legal age are included in the letter. In addition to this activity, the Sheriff’s Office will also be conducting a series of alcohol compliance checks on a continual and prolonged basis. Other law enforcement activities targeting underage alcohol consumption / possession will continue as usual.
