Our roads leading to the highway south of town are pletely blocked. Mr. and Mrs. Haskell Pryor. of Cntbank, spent Christmas at the home of Mr. Gus Kaufman. E. L. Luckett was a Christmas dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Mar- tin at their home in Stanford. Information bas reached here that M. A. Harney is receiving medical aid at the Rochester clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Mrs. James Flolzer and son, Don- ald, left by train on Thursday for Whitehall. to visit with the form- ers parents over the holidays. Miss Hulda Ingman is spending ber vacation at the home of her brother-in-law and sister. Mr. and Mrs. John Alm, at Windham, Victoria Herbold was an arrival here Thursday evening from Great Falls. where she is atttending school, to spend her vacation with her parents. The teachers and pupils gave a program at the school house Friday afternoon, but due to the severe storm very few of the parents were able to attend.. . A number of cars have been ab- andoned on the south road leading to the highway,- the owners are waiting for better weather before digging- them out of the drifts. James Harney walked in from his ranch. Sunday, and took the evening train to Lewistown. On Monday. he brongh home his Dies- el engine which he has been using on the project at Jordan - . Mrs. Roy Bair arrived from Lew- istove, Thursday morning, where for some time she was receiving medical treatment, /the will visit at the home of her sister, Mrs. Mary Spencer, while convaleseing. Gus Kaufman and Mrs. Tony Flesh were Lewistown callers Fri- day. While there, Mr. Kaufman had the misfortune of a collision with a delivery truck, which cans- ed considerable da:nage to bis ear. Among some of the folks from here who attended the funeral of the late Frank Williams, at Lewis- town, Thursday, were; Mr. and Mrs. John Valentine. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Valentine. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Zimmer, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Zimmer. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Loyd, Tues - main coca - Hodge, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Jennie. G. C. Spratt, Jack Timmer and L. W. Sullivan. Moccasin The Pete Sebens family of Lew- istown were visiting friends in this vicinity on Sunday. Cecil and Basil Ashcraft are up from Ryegate to spend the holidays at the home of their parents. James Simacek. Raymond Brown- lee and Guy Wright returned to their camp at Neihart, Sunday night. Miss Lucy Skaggs was up from Billings to spend Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Skaggs. Walter Marlow and family, from Windham. visitèd several days here recently at the home of A. J. Brownlee. Several postponed Christmas din- ners were reported on account of the badly drifted side roads on Christmas day. • The Misses May and Anna Work t of Billings, spent Christmas here at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Work. Miss Norma Walker, who is em- ployed in Lewistown. was an over- night guest of the Misses Elsie and Bea Todd, Saturday night. Miss Elsie Todd of Ontatio, Can- ada, and Miss Bea Todd of Spok- ane, Washington, arrived here last Wednesday for a visit at home. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Baldridee. who have been absent several months while visiting at Mountain - berg, Arkansas. returned home last week. Oswald Brownlee, who is a sen- ior at the state college at Bozeman, ate Christmas dinner here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Brownlee. There was a good crowd present at the Vesper services at the church on Sunday, Dec. 19. After a pro- gram by the Sabbath school, pop- corn balls were distributed to every one. F. A. boys. The Moccasin Home Demon- stration Club met with Mrs. Wil- liam Brownlee on Dec. 14, with a large attendence. There was no practical demonsration at this meet- ing but roll call was answered by members giving a review of some good magazine article. There was a large assortment of recipes for favorite one -dish meals, there for inspection by the members, After adjournment liinch was served by the hostess Mrs. William Brownlee and assistant hostess Mrs. Alva Wi- ley. The next meeting will be held at Mrs. John Brownlee's on Jan. 18. Norcutt Sentenced To Serve Three Years For Forgery Elver (Cotts) Norcutt of Stanford, charged with a felony growing out of forging a number of checks on a Lewistown creamery, entered a plea of guilty on December 23, 1937, and on Monday, December 27th, the Court entered a judgment.
