Morrow, of the First National bank, had business at the county seat yesterday. Miss Georgia Messner left this morning for Great Falls, where she '*ill accept a position in a confec- tionery store. Huff's orchestra, of this city, will furnish music for a harvest dance to be given at the Murray opera house in Hobson tomorrow, night. Mrs. Bert G. Wiley returned last Thursday from a visit with her parents at Helena. She was accompanied by her brother, who remained until Sat- urday. The town council held a very. brit Labor day passed off very quietly in Moore, being observed only by the banks and postoffice. A number of peopie spent the day at Hilger and Lewistown. John P. Ducks was in the city the latter part of the week. He is now employed as a carpenter with the Great Northern bridge crew, working out from Lewistown. Eugene Thurston left here the last of the week for 'Minneapolis, where he will attend the University of Minnesota this term. He is taking a course in engineering. Jack Hendricks, of the Moore Auto company, has sold another Overland touring car, the purchaser being W. B. Sheill, president of the State Bank of Buffalo, and a progressive rancher In that vicinity. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Shepler, who have been spending the summer at the R. J. Hannah ranch south of Moore, expect- to leave next week for their home in Oklahoma. Mrs: Shepler is a sister of Mr. Hannah. • Rev. J. H. Durand, late of Stookett, who succeeds Rev. C. E. Haynes as pastor of. the Methodist church, preached his initial sermon in Moore last Sunday. Mr. Durand made a most favorable impression upon two large congregations.
