The roads in the lower end of the valley are in a better condition just now than they have been for the past several years, thanks to the efforts of supervisor Charles Ralston. The Lavelle hotel, opposite the depot at Divide, has been leased to Wesley Miller for one year with the privilege of renewing the lease for five years. The lease com mences the first of June.
