Some day they will have- a creamery, but at present the herds are too widely scattered to make such an enterprise feasible. “The'dairy farmer has a seven~*day a week, night and morning, job on his hands, but it brings in some real mon ey every month to buy necessities. “ I have a fair knowledge o f land values in other parts of the state,’ but nowhere have I found better oppor tunities to buy agricultural land at so low a price as right here. T h e lumber has arrived for Plevna’s -new—depot. - ------------------------- - T h e water tank at Plevna, which was damaged by a railroad wreck sev eral weeks ago,-has been rebuilt. “ Good, roads” has been the chief topic of discussion at Boyes, the oast week. Recent storms- have caused a con siderable loss of lambs in the vicinity of Pinele the past two weeks.- Many homesteaders continue to take tip land in the vicinity of Pinele. T h é Farmer’s elevator at Sa\age was slightly damaged by fire, one day last week. Ollie now has a daily mail service over the N. P. railroad which went into effect, May 15. A twice-a-week service was in vogue up to that time. A move has been made to establish a rural route from the Ollie postoffice. Citizens of Jordan have raised $10,- 000 for a flour-mill which is to be erected sometime this summer. The mill is to have a .capacity of 25 barrels of flour daily.
