FALLON COUNTA\FINIES IODAN,.11'IZII. 24. 2015- 3 T oo Otis Kapps Otis F. Kapps, Jr., age 59, of He Baker passed away April 18, 2015 at the VA Nursing Home in Miles City. Otis was born Nov. 16,1955 in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Adele Durham. His mother passed away when Otis was six years old. After a few years, Otis was raised by his foster parents, Delores and Harold Wiseman. Otis moved with his new family to Baker where he attended school and graduated from Baker High School in 1975. Immediately following high school. Otis enlisted in the United States Navy where he served one tour before being honorably discharged. Following his dis- charge, he returned to Mon- tana where he attended vocational school in Billings where he received a degree as a mechanic. Dec. 13, 1980, Otis married the love of his life, Mary Wickstrom, in Baker. To this union three chil- dren were born: Mark, Michael and Marcia. They raised their family in Baker where Otis worked as a me- chanic. Later on a new addi- tion was made to the family following the loss of his mother (Juliann), T.J. Gilmore came to live with Otis, Mary and their children, and became part of their family. Otis enjoyed doing mechanic ;work, especially on old cars. loved spending time with his family and friends and watching professional wrestling. Otis loved Subway and would travel 80 miles to get a Subway sandwich once a week. Otis is survived by his wife, Mary Kapps, of Baker; three sons, Mark of Plevna, Michael Students raise money for Heart Association Just over 40 students from the Longfellow School raised more than $5,000 for the American Heart Association. After collecting their donations, they got together and exercised non-stop for two hours by either jumping rope or playing basketball. All of the kids were active the entire time. Every donation made from the conunu- nity and beyond makes a huge difference to the AHA. All contributions are appreciated and the time and effort of Billings and T.J. Gilmore of the students put into this project are also. Several students raised well over $100, but two students, Ashlyn Baker; a daughter, Marcia Lutts and Walker Hadley, raised $500 each to go toward the AHA cause. (Jason) Oberlander, of Plevna; four grandchildren, Trae, Kae- den and Chaes Oberlander, and Landon Kapps; two sis- ters, Susan (Marty) Nelson and Brenda Boese. He was preceded in death by his mother and foster parents, Harold and Delores Wiseman. Visitation will be held Fri- day, Apr. 24, 2015 from 8-11 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Baker. Funeral serv- ices will follow at II a.m. at the Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Eastern Montana Veterans Cemetery in Miles City. Should friends desire, me- morials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Bow Hunter Education Classes Bow Hunter Education Classes will be Monday. May 4, from 6:30-8:00 p.m., and Saturday, May 9, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Baker High School (enter at main office and turn left at top of stairs). Participants must attend both class dates to complete course. A parent or guardian must sign a consent form for panic- ipants under the age of 18 on the first day of class. Partici- pants must be 12 before Jan- uary I , 2016. Material and class instruc- tions will be provided May 4. Class will require home study as part of the course.
