They are Scotti Robinson (Tim and Jamie), Samantha Smith (Kenny & Margo Smith and Jake & Wendy Wagner), and Sa- vannah Davis (Mike and Tiffany). Seoul placed I' in all five of her events at the Dis- trict 3B track meet held in Baker, which cants her the right to go on to Divisionals in Laurel. Samantha and Savannah placed first in doubles at the Divisional Tennis Meet held in Baker and earned a berth at the Class B State Tennis Tournament in Missoula. As a whole, the team placed first in the Division. Individu- als who qualified for the state tournament in Missoula May 19 are Samantha Smith, Sa- vannah Davis, Anna Espeland, Pamela Tronstad, and Haylee Barkley. The top four in sin- gles and the top three in dou- bles qualify for state. The Lady Spartan tennis team is coached by Mr. Tom Kendall and three assistant coaches - Kalli Madler, Kyli Gentilini and Margaret Uecker. Results are as followk. Doubles - Samantha Smith and Savannah Davis took first place, winning four games and losing one. Sheyenne Janeway and Ashley Rost took fourth place. winning three games and losing two. Singles results: Anna Es- peland took second place, winning four games and losing one. Pamela Tronstad placed third, winning two and losing two. FRIDAN', MAN' 20, 2016 National BPA Results Tannon Dukart, Taylyn Dukart and R1 Crow, along with advisor, Mrs. Lynn Beach, attended the National Business Professionals of Amer- ica's (BPA) 50th anniversary competition in Boston where they competed in computer pro- gramming and modeling. R1 placed 28th out of 44 in C++ program- ming as well as 2Ist out of 41 in Visual Basic. 'Fannon placed 28th out of 41 in Visual Pro- gramming, and Taylyn placed 2Ist out of 28 in computer modeling. After the long competition, the BPA group went off and ate at the famous Cheers Bar and Grill. The next day the group went to Salem, MA. They toured the House of 7 Gables, (which Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote about), the Witch Museum, and the Witch Dungeon Mu- seum where they heard the bone chilling sto- ries of the 1600s witch trials. May 15, members of the Baker Torchlight Chapter of the National Honor Society cleaned litter from a two mile section of Highway 12 heading west of town. They collected eight bags of trash.
