Two hundred Butteites are on the war- path because Dune McDonald, a bruiser, has been relegated to the pen for prize' ing accomplished by the road doub- fighting. If he violated a law of the land, and the jury says that he did, he should be punished. We are glad to learn through the Miner that Mr. Al. Sterrett, who has been con- fined in the Sisters' Hospital at Butte for some time with paralysis, is improving, and there are at present strong hopes of his recovery. Al, here's hoping! The Montana Union is to run through Deer Lodge, but the citizens of that burg bear the greater part of the expense. Heretofore the road and depot was to far away that it afforded practically no ac- commodation to her people. Butte is promised a regular old-fashion- ed dog fight. We never heard of a set of people so full of fight as they are in Butte. We alwaes deprecate anything in the fighting line, but if it must go on—Mon- tana vs. Minnesota—our sympathies go a long way towards the Montana \purp owned by Jan A. Gordon. That veteran Montanian, Mr. James Fergus, one of the keenest observers and of ripest experience, says that every ranch In Montana ought to be funestied with a barometer, and that a few dollars spent in that direction would save thousands. Mrs. General John Burris returned last evening from an eastern visit and joined her husband at the Merchants ho- tel, Helena, Mr. Johnson, who represents a large amount of eastern capital, has been in Boulder the past week. He will probably remain with us and grow up with the country. We welcome Messrs. Downs and Cain as a new addition to Boulderites. We learn on good authority that they are conning to stay with us. Their place of business will be where Dougherty's store was. They are at the Grand Central. S. 0, Smith, an adept in the tonsorial art, has been quite sicho . Miss I,otta Wade, the leading lady, is of fine stage address, and seems to be perfectly at home either in com- edy or as a sensational actress, sings well, and made a most favorable impression upon our people. Miss Dupree is a winsome soubrette, and certainly has a moSt promisu g future. Miss Dimling is good, and we find Murphy is always in the lead. F. M. ASTONISHING SUCCESS. It is the duty of every person who has used Boschee's German Syrup tp let its wonderful qualities be known to their friends In curing consumption, severe coughs, croup. asthma, pneumonia, and in fact all throat and lung di/seises. No per- son can use it without immediate relief. ,Three doses will relieve any case, and we ; consider it the duty of all druggists to re- commend it to the poor, dying consump- tive, at least to try one bottle, as 80,000 I dozen bottles were sold last year, and no one case where it failed was reported. Such a medicine as the German Syrup can not be too widely known. Ask your drug- . gist about it. Sample bottles to try, sold at 10 cents. Regular size, 75 ceete.
