Jeffries and Judge Kerley were the only persons in Boulder who planted trees on that e day. Their example will be followed by dozens if not hundreds next. year, and in the not dietaot future Boulder will be the forest city of Montana, as water can b e broug4t, to every man's door at a trifling cost. • Grand Barbecue. A number of tip leading citizens of Boulder, Wickes, Jefferson and Amazon are mooting the quea ion of having a grand barbecue on July 4th, at a point near the southern . entrance of the great Montana Central Tunnel. As the point indicated is almost equally distant from Boulder, Wicks, Cornet and Jefferson City, all could unite and have a picnieandJ)arbecue that would eclipse in magnitude any previous celebration in the' history of Montar:a. The spectacle Of seeing a half a dozen fat steers and a doeen each of sheep and hogs roasted whole woulti be a novelty to most of the people livitig hereabouts apd would indeee almost universal attendance of the populaoe.
