Homer Jennison, th popular dis- penser of the. liquid refreshments at the Grapd Central Hotel in Helena, and Miss Grace Cruzen, of the same city, were married some ten days ago, though „the event has been kept rather quiet. - . __Mrs. Robert Law, Mrs. W. F. San- ders, Mrs. H. W. Childs, Miss Sanders, Miss Shiland, and other Helena ladies made a flying trip to Boulder and the Hot Springs Monday. They were the guests of -Supt. Law on the trip, com- ing out in his car; - Mrs. J. L. Morris and four childred, the family of Mr. J. L. Morris, sales- man in T. A. Wickes's store, arrived yesterday from Livingston and are domiciled ie the Biner dwelling, in the western part of town. Another young lady.is added to Boulder society by this arrival of Mr. Morris's family. The Knights of Pythias anniversary ball at the Hot Springs last Friday evening was attended by ',bout 250 ladies and gentleman, all of whom enjoyed the occasion Most heartily. The ladies were handsomely dressed and in. their happiest moods, the gen- tlemen were gallant andattentive, the mimic was delicious and' the dancing was divine, the supper was excellent, and everything contributed to the pleasure of the occasion. The affair was a success in every particular, and the Knights have by it added much to their already great popularity. ‚, RAILROAD RACKET. Progress on4he Wickes tunnel for the Montana rentral road during the week ending Saturday, May 19, 1888, is as follows: North end, 56 feet; seuth end, 54 feet; total, 110 feet; total amount completed to date, 4,250 feet. The Montana Central track has reached Chtecey and is moving stead- ily in this direetron at the rate of a mile or two a day. The question as to how the hill between here and Jef- ferson is to be surmounted will soon be settled. As will be seen by reference to the Northern Pacific advertieentiatein • issce, that road has resurderrhe run- ning of the local passenger train from Helena west, - making two passenger trains a day each Way - the full length of the road. The new time-teble is very convenient for Boulder 'people traveling east. , Reaching Helena at six o'clock in the evening they can leave there at half past nine, or if business detains them to a later hour they can start for the east at half past three next morning.
