Starrett is building to bring water to the Little Boulder placer diggings will be completed in the course ot' a couple of weeks. \ A con- siderable quantity of material for the flume aud ditch is e ning from the east to Boulder and will be hauled from here. The work done has been ex- cellent and rich returns are expected. It • is stated ou what seems to be good authority that the Ausintsda company has bonded a comciderable tract of land in the vicinity is( Three Forks and Will erect there a large copper refinery. There is not enough water to be had at Anaconda or the works would -have been put up at that place. Perhaps by the time the ques- tion of the permanent -location of the capital coules up Marcus Daily will have built a new town near Three Forks and will give the people' of Montana a choice between Anaconda and his uew town.
