(Contined from First Pas.) northeasterly direction about two miles, (hence in an easterly direction about ono and one half miles to in tersection of same road, the old road between initial and terminal points of now road to bo abandoned. There boing no non consenting laud owners or damages to be awarded, report was approved, road declared a public highway and ordered opened, and the couuty surveyor was ordered to survey and plat samo. November 11, 1902 was fixed as the day for hoaring of all parties inter ested on the following proposed road changes—Choteau aud Suu river road, LaBrecliG aud Coal Banks road. . The board considering it necessary for the public safety, authorized tho sheriff to omplov a deputy between Pondera and Collins at a salary of $50 per mouth. Board then resumed business of auditing claims against county and ordered warrants in payment of those allowed. Report of John S. Gordon, treas urer, was then taken up for consid eration. Treasurer’s list of warrants paid were compared with county clerk’s books and found correct, and the warrants were cancelled as follows: General Fund ........................ $2,749 33? Sundry petitions for new roads and for changes in roads were presented, and viewers appointed to examine samo. Report of viewers of change in Dupuyor, Cowell’s and Birch creek road, and of change in Burton aud Pondeia road were taken up, and the board sot November 11,1902, as the date for hearing of all parties in lerested. In the matter o f damages awarded to Goo. I. Smith for road to McPhee’s ranch, it was ordored that Geo. I. Smith having failed to accept the amount awarded, $30, the county attorney institute proceeding to pro cure right, of way through lands of Geo. I. Smiib. Adjourned to 2 p. m. AFTERNOON SESSION. Ordered that a special meeting of the board bo held on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1902, at 10 o’clock a. m., for the consideration of road matters, exam ¡nation of and action upon viewers reports, consideration of road petitions aud for the leasiog of a building for u p o as a county hospital. Report of viewers of new road bo ginning at southeast corner of south east qr of northwest qr., section 24, township 24 north, range 5 west, ter minuting at northeast corner of lot 1, section 19, township 24 north, range 4 west, was examined and Nov. 11, 1902 fixed as the day for hearing on same. Ordered, That upon tho filing with the county clerk of any deeds o f real estate sold to Teton county for de linquent taxes, the county clerk give notico of the sale of the same in the official paper of the county by publi cation for 30 days. Said sale to be mado by the Chairman of the Board at public auction at the front door of the couit house, Choteau, Montana, and to the highest bidder, for cash. Bo it Enacted by tbo Legislative Assembly of the State o f Montana: Section 1. Thero shall bo submitted to tbo qualified doctors o f tho Stato o f Montana at tho next genoral election to bo hold in said stato, tho following amendment to Section 4, of Articlo XVI of tlie constitution, relating to county commissioners. That Section 4 o f Article XVI of tho constitu tion o f the Stato o f Montana, bo amended so as to read as follows: •‘Section 4. In each county thero Bholl bo elected three county commissioners, whoso term of ofilco shall ho six years; provided, that the term o f ofilco o f those olcctod on November 6th. 1900, shall oxpiro ou tho first Monduy in January, 1907; provided further, that at the genoral elec tion to bolield in Novombor, 1902, (in counties where commissioners are to bo dected that yonr), three commissioners shall be elected whoso terms shall expiro on the first Moudayin J nnuary, 1907; provided further, that at the geo eral olection to be held in Novombor. 1906, ono commissioner shall bo elected for a term o f two years, ono commissioner shall bo elected for a term o f four yoars, and ono commissioner shall bo elected for a torm o f six year-i, whoso term of ofilco shall commence on tho said first Monday of January, 1007; and provided further, that at each general election thereafter commencing with tho genoral election to be held in Novem ber, 1908, ono commissioner shall bo dected for a term of six years.
