Mr. and Mrs. AJfied Hairls have re turned from Eutope and are now in Helena. Carl Harris has gone to meet them. They will be at home as sson «8 the weather moderates. John Swanstream is putting a fine front on the Choteau .house, but the storm caught him before he gob it quite completed. He contemplates putting in a planing mill here next i*pring. The mail from the south due here at supper time last evening did nut get iu until after 10 o’clock this morning on account of the severe storm the day be fore. There is a foot of suow at Creat Falls. Bertie Strong, of Sun River, v a i thrown from his horde near Freez*out last week, and had a leg broken He was taken home and Dr. Newman, of Great Falls, summoned who set the bi oken member. Major Steed, U. S. Indian agent at the Blackfoot agency, will receive sealed pro posals for furnishing and delivering at that agency 52,272 pounds of oats, and at the agency boarding school about 18,000 pounds of potatoes. Bids will he received at Pe:gan until 1 o ’clock, p. m. of Wednesday, December 14. 1892. Rev. P. IT. Reed arrived from Butte last Tuesday evening, and will take charge of the relig o m woik in this sec tion under the auspices of the M E. church. He will hold services at the school house evory Sunday evening and endeavor to build up a congregation which shall be asoure of pleasuie alike to himself and the community.* Mr. Reed comes here well recommended and T he M ontanian asks of the people of this section a hearty response to his call for a meeting. Clark Lytle was in town Monday on some land businesss. He and his brother James, who lives on the North Fork o; Bun River, have sold out their sheep in terests and will leave shoi tly for i ¡ala- fornia where they will spend the winter Mr. Clark expressed himself as in luck when he disposed of his speep just when lie did. The thermometer registered 2^ degrees below zero at 8 o ’clock. Yes terday was not a very bad day though the • thermometer did not get over 10 above. This morning it registered 17% below. A t noon to-day it was 1 below. The prospects are for good weather from now until Christmas—if they can keep the eyloncs down in Illinois. . This Association shall meet upon call of the President, Vice President, or Fi nance Committee, and all meetings shall be held in Choteau, Choteau county. ART* IV. The officers of this association shall be a President, a Vice Pi esident,a Secretary, a Treasurer, and a Finance committee consisting ol three members. The officers mentioned shall pet form such duties as is customary in like organiz itions, and they shall serve for six mouths. ART. V. There shall be appointed by the Fi nance committee seventeen (17,' Com- uiis sioners inure or less, whose duties shall he to issue permits to such persons as desire to participate iu the benefits offered by this Association. • a RT.
