The jail proposition was taken up and after plana and specifications were fully examined, on motion, one-inch steel was substituted for the exterior of colls instead of % as in specifications at an additional coat of $150.00 on work complete; also that steps to building be of stone of .name proportion at au additional cost of $50.00 as per plans. All being satisfactory, contract was ap proved and signed in favor of Neill & McConnell, of Helena, Mont-. Bill of Wm. White, architect ordered paid, $50.00. Board adjourned until 1 p. m. Board met 1 p. ra., same members present. The matter of vault furnishings was then taken up, and contract awarded the Hoffman Keefe Office File company of Milwaukee, for the sum of - $700.00. The sheriff and deputies, also the county treasurer, are hereby instructed to en force the law regarding licences to see that all places of business requiring as prescribed by law have the same, or are prosecuted for neglect or failure to com ply with the requirement of the law.
