The Double Four Pinochle club met at the home of Mrs. Dorothy Bittick last Tuesday evening. Mrs. Nadine Fuller won high, Mrs. Ora Freeman low, and Mrs. Dovie Ann Peterson all cut. Mrs. Pet erson and Mrs. Annie Read were guests of the. club. A de licious lunch was served. Elva Boardman Chapter No. 26 met Nov. 21 a t the Masonic halt at a stated meeting. After the business meeting cards were en joyed. Those winning prizes were Dorothy Bittick, ladies high; Clif ford Calvert, men’s high; Nola Empey, all-cut. A delicious lunch was served by the social commit tee consisting of Jeanne and Irv ing Pruitt, Helen and Claude Harshner. The annual Grand Cross of Col or Mystic banquet was held at the home of Mrs. Dorothy Bittick on Saturday evening, Nov. 25. The following members were present: Darlene Rush, Carlene Brown, Mrs. Lois Merrell, Mrs. Verna Jenkins, Mrs. Hilma Merrell and Mrs. Bittick. Mrs. Grace Mar- tinell who is also a member was absent.. Mrs. Jenkins acted as master of ceremonies. A delicious banquet was served. Pythian Sisters Sewing club meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Jay Oren in November. A delicious lunch was served. Cards were played and the following ladies were awarded prizes, Mrs. Mary Rose, high; Mrs. Maggie Patterson; low, and’ Mrs. Hazel McNinch, all-cut. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Nix and fam ily attended to business in Dillon last week. Mr. Andrew Leake of Dillon was a Thanksgiving guest at the J. W. Patterson home. N o w o n S a l e ! Mrs. Cloy Gosser and son Ken neth motored to Bozeman to visit Mrs. Gosser’s mother during the Thanksgiving holidays. Mr. and Mrs. ¡Leonard Leake and children and Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Patterson were in Dillon Saturday and visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James McBride. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schiers and family spent Thanksgiving in Pocatello with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Bybee and family spent Thanksgiving in Idaho Falls with Mrs. Bybee’s mother and sister. Mrs. Tena Peterson left last week for Portland where she will visit at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Jolley. Mrs. S. Bittick was a Dillon visitor last week. She was ac companied home by Delos Jen kins who spent the week end with his family. Mr. Jenkins has been working in Dillon. Mr. and Mrs. Delos Jenkins were host and hostess at ^ sump tuous Thanksgiving day dinner at their home. Guests were Mrs. Julia Peat, Mrs. Annie L. Read, Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Merrell, jr., and son, Frank, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kellett, Mr. and Mrs. S. Bittick and Verna Marie Jenkins. A party of the young people of the community was held last Sat urday evening at the Don Tash home. There were 20 guests pres ent. Games were enjoyed after which a delicious lunch was served. Plans were made for forming a Young People’s group and it was decided that they would meet at the Community church the following evening. Mrs. Perkins, Mrs. Norman By bee and Mrs. Dee Merrell spent several days in Blackfoot last week. 7 Mrs. Roy Smith, Mrsf Herbert McNinch, Mrs. Kurt Raddatz and Mrs. Max Merrell spent Friday in Butte. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith were called to Boise by the death of his brother. Mrs. Edna Blackburn will con duct services at 11:30 a. m. at the Lima Community church Dec. 3. Sunday school every Sunday at 10:30 a. m. A Young People’s group was organized last Sunday evening at the Lima Community church. Mrs. S. Pickering will direct the group. All young people from the seventh grade through college will be welcome. Regular meet ings will be held every Sunday evening from 6:30 until 7:30 at the Community church. Mr.' and Mrs. Odell Jensen and family were guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Hall of Idaho Falls over Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. Don Tash and family attended the show “Treas ure Island” in Dillon on Thurs day. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Zink spent Thanksgiving at the Herb Sill home. Mr. and Mrs. Miles Bateman and family of Dillon visited at the Don Tash home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. George Burt and family spent the week-end in Ida ho Falls visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. I. E. Pruitt and baby, Jeannie, went to Idaho Sat-, urday afternoon. The baby re mained with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pruitt. Idaho guests who spent the Thanksgiving holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Vern Christensen and family were Mrs. A. Morton, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Morton, Mitzy and Tommy; Mr. andfMrs. Kenneth Birch and Marva, Mrs. L. Gresh am, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Morton and Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Morton. Marva Birch returned Sunday to her home in St. Anthony after visiting a few days with her brother, Keith Birch, and friends in Lima. Mr. Fred Patterson of Wise Riv er visited at the home of his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Patter son, over Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Franks were hosts to a lovely Thanksgiving dinner. Guests were Mrs. C. A. Pilgrim and son of Dillon and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Franks and chil dren. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Stansell and baby Cheryl from Billings were in Lima spending the Thanksgiving holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Reeder. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Durtschi and family of Idaho Falls spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Lima at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Lowder. Mr. and Mrs. U. P. Wilson of Boise, Idaho, were overnight guests at the home of Mrs. Neil- son’s aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Lowder, Wednesday night. They were en route to Helena on business. Misses June Mihelish and Jerry Hammond left Sunday night for Provo, Utah, where they ar.e at tending the university. Ranger and Mrs. Roy Mart and family returned to Lima after spending Thanksgiving with Mrs. Harfs parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hammill, at Sandpoint, Idaho. Miss Rosalie Schultz of Dubois, Idaho, spent the Thanksgiving holidays with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Rose, and her grandmother, Mrs. Catherine Schultz. Mrs. R. B. Lowder returned from Colorado Springs Tuesday. She reports a grand trip .and found her son and daughter-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Lowder, and family well and happy. Mr. and Mrs. E. P. McMahon were visitors in Dillon on Tues day. Miss Leoan Manning of Mis soula spent Thanksgiving vaca tion with hex parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Manning in Lima. Mr. and Mrs. G. Mattingly and son Jack were dinner guests at the A. L. Manning home on Thanksgiving day. Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Jacobs spent Monday in Dillon. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Stosich en tertained Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Mul- lany and children and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jacobs as Thanksgiving dinner guests. Mrs. Nennie Deck spent Thanks giving and the week end with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Deck and family in Grant. Mrs. Dee Norman and son, Rob ert, were business callers in Dil lon Saturday, also Mrs. Dee Jen kins and daughter, Verna Marie. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Griffin of P o c a t e l l o spent Thanksgiving with Eugene’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Pfiffner., Sam Freeman of Dillon was a visitor Friday afternoon at the Martha Foster home. Mrs. Laurence Kennedy and children of Lima spent Thanks giving at the home of Mr. and Harry Allen in Dell, birthday party was given in of Miss Betty Brown, Nov. 19. The guests were Jerry Mi- chal, Shirlene Marler, Anna Jean Knox, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Knox and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James Brown and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Brown and Babby and Roberta. All had a lovely time. Mrs. Jack Thiel and children of Dillon spent Sunday afternoon visiting in Lima. Those who attended a family Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Peterson were Mr. and Mrs. Bart Hungate, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie McNinch of Dell, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mc Ninch of Sheep Creek basin, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Peterson and two children of Dell, Mr. Dan Peter son, Mrs. Belle Dowling of Dell, Miss Leora Nix, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Peterson and children, Mrs. Martha Foster and children- and Miss Dorothy Colson. A large crowd attended. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Leake and two children, Freddie and Ellen Kay of Bountiful, Utah, were the week-end holiday guests at the home of Mrs. Leake’s par ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Patter son. They returned to their home on Monday. . College students home for over the Thanksgiving holidays includ ed Bob Gosman of U. of M., Bob Norman, Gordon and Everett Martinell, Wendell Martinell of M.S.U., Carleen Brown, Roberta Cherry, Darlene Rush, Barbara Bateman of W.M.C.E, and Jerry Hammond and June Mihelish who are attending college in Provo, Utah. The Secret Pal party for the Pythian Sisters of Lima will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 13, fol lowing the regular meeting. The election of officers will be held the same evening. December birthdays will also be honored. Plan to attend. The Christmas party, at which Santa Claus will be an honored guest, will be held at the Pythian hall on Friday, Dec. 15. Santa Claus will have a gift for every school-age child of a Pythian Sis ter. Don’t forget the date. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clark was a pleasant gathering place on Thanksgiving day when Mr, and Mrs. Clark en tertained their children and grandchildren at a delicious Thanksgiving dinner and also cel ebrated their 38th wedding anni versary. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Anderson entertained at a family dinner on Thanksgiving day. There were 14 guests present. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Stosich spent Sunday in Idaho Falls at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Whitlatch. Mr. and Mrs. William Mordan and boys spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Butte. Mr. and Mrs. James Pierce, James and Leo, spent Sunday evening in Dillon with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Simper left Suday for their home in Logan, Utah, after spending the Thanks giving holidays with Mrs. Sim per’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Marler. Mr. and Mrs. Fay Marler and family of Idaho Falls spent the week end at the L. J. Marler home. Mrs. Ben Proctor is spending some time with relatives in San Francisco. > Mr. and Mrs. F. O. Mitchell and Mr. and Mrs. StanfofdEmpey and Susan' were Thanksgiving dinner guests at the R. Greggs home in Dillon. Rev. Allen held services in Lima on Sunday. He was accom panied by Rev. Reid and Mr. Mc Kinley, the latter furnishing spe cial music. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Calvert spent the week end in Butte where Mr. Calvert attended the Shrine ceremonial. They were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Art Korn. . Mr. and Mrs. Leo Pfiffner en tertained with a turkey dinner Wednesday evening.
