Rasoio THE DILLON, MONTANA, D A ILY TRIBUNE-EXAMINER HO M E FROM TRIP Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nye re turned home Thursday from a trip which included going by plane, ac companying Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Nye' of Missoula to Denver, where they visited their son and daugh ter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Russell Nye and Mrs. Mary Lindsey and to Boulder, Colo., where they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gagos. Going by car, accompan- ing Mr. and Mrs. Russell Nye, they visited with Mr. and Mrs. James Redfield Jr., and Joy and Jimmy in Birmingham, Ala., and spent some .time as guests of their -son- in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Oxendine and Donnie and Wanda Kay in Pembroke, N. C., and with cousins of Mr. Harry Nye’s, Mrs. Francis Brown and her daughters and families in Tre- mont, HI. Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Paige of Philipsburg visited with her moth er Mrs. A. C. Bayers and other re latives in the vicinity over the weekend. Mrs. A. C. Bayers left for Phil ipsburg Tuesday for an indefinite stay with the B. G. Paige family. Mrs. Bess Jackson, Mrs. C. J. Jessen and Mrs. H. P. Hansen at tended the Episcopal Christmas Bazaar in Sheridan Saturday af ternoon. Mrs. Helen'Brown of Alder and Mrs. Burton Whiting were Dilloh visitors on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. James Jacobs, Jimmy and Debbie and Mr. and Mrs. John Hopper were business visitors in Dillon Saturday after noon. Charles Ehlman and daughter Kim of Missoula .visited at the Roscoe Dillet home for several days this past week. Lauren anil Tamara Hull1 spent Saturday shopping in Dillon. Mr. and Mrs. James Leacock of Garrison and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ames and Carol of Butte were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Whitney and family. Mr. and Mrs. Leacock also visited his mother Mrs. Beatrice Gilmore, a patient at the Barret Hospital in Dillon. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ball were business callers in Ennis on Tues day. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ball and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Luther Paige were Dillon visitors Fri day evening. END OF THE LINE — A wild ride in a stolen bus ended for the thief in Helsinki, Finland, when he drove onto the deck of a tugboat. The tug, docked and, seemingly, as secure as could b<T, sank to the bottom like a stone under the impact of the stowaway. The bus and driver emerged unscathed. PLAN CH R ISTM A S PARTY Daisy Chapter No. 20, Order of Eastern Star met Tuesday eve ning, Dec. 4 with Worthy Mtaron Ann Harkins and Worthy Patron James Giem presiding. Plans were made for the Christmas party and exchange of gifts which will be on the next regular meeting night. Lunch was served by Opal Cox, Alta Pitcher,. Vivian Bridges and Besse Jackson. PARTY SET DEC. 18 The Twin Bridges Home Dem onstration Club met Monday eve ning at the home of Mrs. Ed Ni- cholls. President Mrs. Orrin Paige conducted the regular business meeting. Roll call was responded to with ideas for entertainment for the Christmas party which will be held December 18 at the Blue Anchor at 7:30, with Mrs. P. G. Cook and Mrs. Theresa Lancaster as’ hostess. Each member may bring a guest to the party and each one is to bring a prize for the games. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. John Hopper on January 14, and members are to bring some recipe of foreign origin and the product which we will have for refreshments. The meeting will start at 6:30. The rest of the evening was spent working on Christmas gifts. Refreshments were served to eight members by the hostess. Ben Gum, Lyle Lane, Bernice Naugle, Alta Pitcher, Carolyn Hansen1, Lorene Nydam and Vivian Bridges. Mr. and Mrs. George Pulver were Saturday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Almon Reid. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Narancich entertained1 at dinner on Saturday and guests were Mr. and Mrs. W al ter Allen of Sheridan and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Talcott and Debbie, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mantha and daughters were Butte visitors on Saturday and also visited in the homes of relatives. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. McMillin re turned home Tuesday from Spo kane, Wash., where they attended a four day District Distributors Meeting of the McCulloch Corpor ation. Their daughters Jane and Judy were guests of their grand parents Mr. and Mrs. George Hun- gerford at Hebgen Dam during their absence. Mr. and Mrs. George Hunger- ford of Hebgen Dam were accom panied to Butte on Saturday by Mrs. E. E. McMillin and daugh ters. Mrs. Nick Peppercoff entertained at dinner on Wednesday honoring her hsuband and Miss Margaret Ehlman on their birthdays. Other guests were Mrs. Ella Dillet and Billie and Buzzy Nye. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Nolte were Butte visitors on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Nicholls and Cheri of Dillon Were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Novich and Linda and Ronnie. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Novich and family joined by Mr. and Mrs. Art Holmlund and Mr. and Mrs. George Featherly and sons of Dillon went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. W il liam Mailey in Laurin Saturday evening, honoring Mrs. Mailey on her birthday. Mrs. C. J. Cox, Mrs. Fred Carl son and Mrs. Rex Beck were Dil lon visitors on Thursday. What About Money? Among those from Twin Bridges attending the Methodist Hotcake dinner in Sheridan on Sunday were Mrs. Laura Reid, Mrs. Ethel Van- dertuin, Mrs. Hilda Murphy, Mrs. Myrtle Ohlrich and Henry Jer- genson. Mrs. Nettie Campbell left Mon day for Clovis, Calif., where she plans to spend the holidays with her daughter Mrs. Robert Fuller. Dr. John Seidensticker of Dil lon, Mrs. Nettie Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Seidensticker and grandson Ramie, Selby, and J. C. Seidensticker were business visit ors In Bozeman on Sunday. Among those from Twin Bridges who attended the Stockman ban quet in Dillon- Saturday evening, were Mrs. Nettie Campbell, J. C. Seidensticker, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reid, Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Seidensticker and Mrs. Camilla Gage. Mr. and Mrs. John Seyler and Mrs. Ethel Vandertuin joined Miss Frances Seyler of Helena at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Jones and family in Three Forks on Sunday where all were dinner guests. Tracy and Clay Martinell who had spent two weeks as guests of their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Turner, have returned to their home in Pullman, Wash. They were taken to their home by their grandmother who returned here on Sunday. JUVEN ILES MEET The R.N.A. Juveniles met Thurs day afternoon with Suzanne Whin- tey, junior oracle, in charge. Names were drawn for exchange of gifts at the Christmas party and appointed on the food com mittee were Kathie Mailey, Paul ette Mantha, Suzanne Whitney, Terry McNeil, Cheryl Whiting and Penny Shipp. Johnny Whitney was appointed to get the Christmas tree. Roll call was \Vegetables We Don’t Like.” Each member will take an ornament to decorate the tree. Kayo Nyhart and Donna Mantha were initiated as new members. There were twenty-five members, two visitors, Carol Mor ris and Linda Seyler and two mothers attending. Lunch was Dutch Treat at the Blue Anchor. Dillon Cable TV RNA ELECTS The Royal Neighbors of Amer ica met Thursday evening with Oracle, Marianne Broksle, presid ing. There was election of officers for the coming year and the Christ mas party with the exchange of gifts will be held on December 20. Eva Campbell, Loretta and Esther High were appointed on the enter tainment committee- Plans were discussed' for a Juvenile party and Evelyn Simpson, Edna Mailey, Darlene Campbell, Frances Fos ter were appointed on the commit tee, and Mary G. Whitney, Betty Whiting and Gayle Beck are on the Christmas card committee. The money the members have raised for the hard of hearing project and a used hearing aid, will be sent to the State Training School at Great Falls. Refreshments were served at the home of Eva Camp bell with Esther High and Loretta High as co-hostesses. DELL NEW S • Mrs. Joe Dowling DINNER HOSTS Mr. and Mrs. Paul Martinell were hosts at a turkey dinner Dec. 5. The occasion was Everett’s birthday. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Everett. Martinell and Kari, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Martinell and three children. Florence Thomas and Helen Erickson of Virginia City were Fri day callers in the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Reid. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Nyhart returned home Wednesday from the Mayo Clinic at Rochester, Minn., where they had been the past three weeks. Mrs. Nyhart was a surgical patient. Mr. and Mrs. George Balkovetz and granddaughter Julie Schaub were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Pfohl and Mrs. Fred Balkovetz and family in Deer Lodge. Lanette Bridges has gone to En nis where she has accepted em ployment. Carol Selby spent the weekend at her home from Dillon. Karen and Ike Hansen of Dillon stayed at the Lee Martinell home while their parents Mr. and Mrs. Hansen attended the State Wool Growers Convention at Great Falls. Mrs. Lee Martinell took them home Friday. Herb Rogers was a business vis itor in Idaho Falls Monday. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Knox have moved from the ranch in Sage Creek to their home in Dell. PLAN CH R ISTM A S PARTY The Nicholia School will hold their Christmas program and par ty Thursday evening, Dec. 20, at the school house. The Dell School will have their Christmas party and program Wednesday evening Dec. 19 at the school house. Every one welcome. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Conn returned from Blackfoot Saturday after spending a week with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Martinell and three children returned Mon day evening from St. Ignatius where they had been visiting with Mrs. Martinell’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Handy and her grandmother, Grandma Buck. ' Dell was well represented in Dillon last Monday. Among those in Dillon were Willis Jones, M. Garr, Mrs. Edna Wheat, Chris Overguard, Dick and Jack Briggs, Mrs. Anna Hansen, Ijner, Paul and Gordon Martinell and Gail Aim. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Knox re turned last Monday from Twin Falls, where they spent the week end visiting their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dee May er and two sons.
