r u d e / n Beaverhead Livestock Auction held a special feeder sale last week. Buyers from Colorado, Idaho, Kansas and Nebraska bought the 2,301 head o f local cattle offered for sale. A video tape on coping with change highlighted the M onday luncheon meet ing o f the Dillon Kiwanis Club. Dick Grundy, manager o f the local Mountain Bell office, presented the tape entitled: \ I f it is t o be, it’s up to m e.” The film focused on how people can change their ideas and keep up with advancing technology. Grundy also gave a humorous b u t thought pro voking talk on the idea people must “ adapt o r per ish.’ ’ Guests at the lunch at tended b y 27 members included Ron Triner of Butte, incom ing district lieutenant governor; Jim Eisenzimer, State Bank: [From page A-1J an order directing the Public Works Department or the City of Dillon to clean up or in any other way to take “ p ositive action to interfere in the plaintiff’s conduct o f his own affairs.” The suit further argues after Durlack was served by an order July 1 author izing the c ity to remove the property allegedly making up the “ nuisance” the plaintiff hired attorney ling. “ Upon investiga tion by (the) attorney, it was learned that the prin cipal complaint voiced by the c ity.. .was the number o f and placement o f the aluminum cans (on the property). This Reimer does not know ju s t what or how the contractor is doing the jo b and it is not up to the contractor to tell him. This is like the roof jo b in the City Hall. There was no set o f plans or specifications on it. J u st some child scratches on a piece o f paper and some writing on some other. But not one person signed his name to them. And this is why us four bonded roof contractors refused to bid on that job . (Me in Dillon, one in Butte, one in Bozeman and one in Missoula). And as it sits, if the roof that was put on does not stand up, there is nothing you the taxpayers o f Dillon, or the City Dads, have any recourse against the roofer. You are stuck for any damage. [From page A-2] So the way it is going, the best, thing for you, C ity Dads to do is watch y our movements as you will have a dictator in charge and you will end up with a big lawsuit against you.
