William Carter Dance Ensemble will be in Dillon Saturday for the second of this year’s Community Concert performances. Series presents dancer in Saturday performance Area members of the Dillon Community Concerts Associa tion will be offered a change of tempo Saturday evening when the William Carter Dance Ensemble displays its talents during a performance opening at 8 in the college auditorium. Carter has starred with the American Ballet Theatre, New York City' Ballet, Martha Graham ,Dance ^Theatre and Pearl Lang Dance Company. 'u He has also toured with the Amnesty at library The Dillon City Library has again declared amnesty for all holders of overdue books during National Library Week. “We don’t care how long you’ve had the books, we just want them back,” said Librar ian Joan McDougal. She noted persons may drop overdue books at the library without charge through Satur day. She added books can either be returned to the desk or slipped through the book drop in the library door. Books the library needs back include “Zelda Fitz gerald” , “ Flight of the Dove\ ■‘Come With Us to Play Group” . \The Sword in the Stone,\ \Montana: Images of Past\ “Karate\. Sponsored by the Montana CowBelles to feature beef recipes and to promote under standing of the various cuts of beef and their proper prepara tion, the contest is open to persons 18 years or older without professional food sta tus. All CowBelles and em ployees of the Beef Industry Council and the National Livestock and Meat Board are not eligible to compete. Entry is also barred to persons owning beef or dairy cattle or whose immediate family (hus band, wife, children), owns beef cattle. Persons wanting to enter should submit beef recipes using two to five pounds of beef, chuck, round, rump, fresh brisket, plates, shank (in any form) or ground beef to the Montana Beef Cook-Off Chairman, Vicki Hamilton, 13285 Dry Creek Road, Bel grade, Mt. 59714, by Dec. 10. From the recipes entered, six will be picked by a panel of three judges to compete in an actual cook-off in Bozeman, Jan. 30 at the Winter Fair. First place winner in that contest will receive a round trip fare to the American National CowBelle Cook-Off Contest to be at Bismarck, N.D. Sept. 19-22, 1983, and $100 spending money. Patricia S. Yeager, 35, was north of Dillon on Highway 91 about 10 a.m. Nov. 6 when her two dogs got in a fight and jumped into her lap. She lost control of her car, which went off the road and through some fence lines. She was taken to Barrett Hospital where a broken shoulder was diagnosed. If the first place winner cannot attend the national cook-off, the round fare trip will be awarded the winner next in line to represent Montana. Recipes must be specific. No use of brand names is allowed. And the entries must be prep;1 red according to the recipes submitted. Number of servings and approximate times for preparation must be included. Garnishes on dishes are permissable. They should be included with the recipe when used. Total cooking time must not exceed four hours (not including marination). Dishes will be judge as follows—taste, 40 points; ap pearance, 20 points, original ity, 20 points; ease of pre paration and practicality, 20 points. All recipes will become the property of the Montana CowBelles. The contest does not include outdoor cookery or microwave. Her prize winning recipe was Beef ‘N’ Rata- touille Torte. A prestigious panel of experts judge the national contest.
