M a ry Hungerte The annual Pythian Sisters bazaar will be held Thursday, Dec. 1 at the Peat hotel dining room. Chili, pie and coffee w ill be served by the sisters starting at 11:30 ajn. There w ill also be a food sale, an apron sale and lots of fancy work that the sisters have been working on all year. Mrs. Kenneth Iverson and Mrs. Thomas McGuire were Dillon shoppers Tuesday. Mrs. Thomas McGuire enter tained at a dinner party Thurs day evening in h6nor of her sister and brother-in-law who are guests at her home, Mir. and Mrs. Mar vin Jacobson of Helena. Those in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson, Mrs. Kennteh Iverson and children and the host and hostess, Mr, and Mrs. McGuire. Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Bammert and daughter Carolyn were shop pers in, Butte Friday. The 4-H clubs of Dell and Arm stead which are sponsored by Mrs. Maurice W olfe and Mrs. Walter Bastian held a successful square dance party at Dell community hall Friday evening. Pythian Sisters sewing club met at the Pythian hall Nov. 18 with Mrs. Gladys Owen and Mrs. Jean Jensen hostesses. There were 16 members present. An enjoyable afternoon was spent at cards and sewing. Mrs. Anna Swoboda held high; Mrs. Evelyn Burt, low, and Mrs. Ethel Hoadley drew the all cut. A delicious lunch was served at the close of the meeting. Ranger Roy Mart was a -caller in Dillon, Monday. Mrs. Kurt Raddatz returned from Oakland, Calif!, Wednesday, where her son Donald is improv in g at the U. S. Naval hospital after being seriously injured in a car collision. Miss Betty Raddatz returned from Oakland, Calif., Sunday after spending a few da>fs with her brother Donald and after spending a few days in Pocatello returned to Dell where she is em ployed with the Union Pacific. The Lima Home Demonstra tion club will meet Nov. 29 at 2 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Margaret Empey, with Mrs. Jean- nie Pruitt, co-hostess. Mrs. Bob Rife and son of Medi cine Lodge spent the week-end with her parents Mr. and Mrs. W. L. McCulley. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Thomas of Craig, Colo., are guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mi- helish. Mr, and Mrs. Charles Clark are enjoying a short vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Allen were called to Butte Saturday by the illness of Harry’s mother. Mrs. W. L. Peterson of Dell was a guest of Mrs. Martha Fos ter, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. E. P. McMahon and children returned Saturday from Anaconda. Mr. and Mrs. W alter Hungate spent Saturday in Dillon. Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Lowder spent the week-end in Rupert, Ida. Mr. Lowder’s mother, Mrs. R.*C. Lowder returned with them and plans on spending the winter in Lima. Bob Schiers was a caller in Butte Saturday. Mrs. P. H. Peterson spent the week-end with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie McNinch in Dell. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Burt of Idaho Falls were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Burt Sun day. Mrs. Paul Martinell from Dell visited Mrs. Martha Foster Mon day. Christmas Blessings slides on the story of Christ will be shown Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. at the Commun ity' church. Everyone is welcome. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Wing of Idaho Falls spent the week-end in Lima. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hoadley, Mrs. H. Hoenstine and daughter Carmen spent Thursday'in Dillon. Miss Karen Keller, Ralph Chad wick, Charles Hawkes and the Misses Marjorie Hammond, Dona Furniss and Rayola Christensen of Moreland, Ida., were guests at the Dee Merrell home over the week-end. The young ladies were all school mates of Mrs. Dee Mer rell. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hoadley and Mrs. H. Hoenstine spent Sat urday and Sunday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cope at Hamer, Idaho. The weather for the week end ing Nov. 19 as reported by C. L. Calvert: High 54, low 18, moisture none, Mrs. William Schmueh and son and Jack Burt motored to Butte Sunday to meet Mrs, Schmuch’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Hur- ley of Astoria, Ore., who are spending the Thanksgiving holi day in Lima. Mrs. S. Bittlck attended the funeral of Tom Malloy in Dillon Tuesday.
