LIM A N E W S • By Mrs. M a ry Hungate Past Matrons club will meet at the home of Mrs. James Pierce Friday, evening. The O. E. S. Sewing Club met at Mrs. Darlene Schiers’ with Mrs. Helen McMahan, co-hostess Feb. 9. Lunch was served to 23 mem bers. The next meeting will be at . Mrs. Betty Calvert’s home on Thursday, Feb. 23, with Mrs. Gladys Owen, co-hostess. A group of ladies from the Community, church met at the home. of Mrs. Ray Kellett Friday and spent the time cutting carpet rags for rugs which will be woven into rugs and later sold for the benefit of the church. Refresh ments were served. Mr. and Mrs. D. Norman and son and Mrs. Julia Peat were in Pocatello Friday and Saturday, at tending the Pfiffnep-Griffin nup tials. They were accompanied by Mrs. R. Weeks who went on to Salt Lake City to visit Mr. Weeks who is employed there. Attention, V.F.W. members of the Ladies Auxiliary of Erwin Paul Post, No. 3534: There will be a social Saturday evening, Feb. 18 at the Masonic hall at which our auxiliary will entertain the Ladies of the Dillon Auxiliary at pinochle. Lunch will be served. Lima Council met in regular ! session Monday evening. No bids | were submitted for the tow” pro- i perty and it was agreed that bids would be accepted at the next meeting if anyone is inter ested. Eyerett Martinell and Jack Bray, in company with five other students from the college at Boze man, spent the week-end at the Martinell and Bray homes. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Perkins are settled in their new home, having purchased the Mrs. Margaret Williams property. Mr. and Mrs. W. Empey were in Idaho Falls Monday to attend the funeral of Mr. Anderson, a prominent resident of that vicinity who died of a heart attack. Among those iru Dillon Thurs day were Mrs. Harry Allen, Mrs. Helen Kennedy and daughter Hel en Dale, Mrs. LaVera McKinzie and son Johnnie and Miss Dorothy Calsen, Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Jacobs and Mr. and Mrs. Worth Empey. Mr. and Mrs. E. W. McNinch of Dillon were calling on relatives in Lima Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Beardslee were callers in Dillon Wednesday. Mrs. Worth A. Empey and Mrs. S. W. Goodman gave the second pressing lesson at a combined meeting at the Dell Community hall Feb. 8. 10 members attended. Lunch was served pot luck. Lady firemen will hold their regular meeting Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. at the Masonic hall. All members are asked to attend. Mrs. Edna Reeder and Mrs. Val Miller will entertain. Primary is held at the L.D.S. church every Wednesday at 4 p.m. All children up to 12 years are invited. Mrs. S. Bittick was a caller in Dillon Thursday. She was accom panied home by Miss Arietta Wright who was a guest of Lela Bybee. A _ . Mrs. James Anderson spent 1 n - day and Saturday in Butte where she received medical care. Mrs. S. Bittick was a visitor in Butte Friday. The March of Dimes campaign recently concluded was quite suc cessful in Lima, $155 being con tributed. Mrs. Dorothy Bittick was chairman, lyirs. Bittick wishes to thank the Rainbow Girls who assisted her, also the town bas ketball team who played Spencer in a benefit game and the school board for use of the gym. Mr. and Mrs. Roy McNinch were hosts to Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Dow ning of Caldwell, Ida., at dinner Tuesday evening. Jim McBride and Lyle Lewis ton left for Butte Sunday where Jim will receive medical care. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. DELL N E W S * By Mrs. Joe Dowling The Dell 4-H club and Farm Bureau are having a square dance Friday evening, Feb. 27 at the Dell Community hall. Music by Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Harkness. The public is invited to attend. Mrs. Wickham, son Jack and daughter Blanche of Idaho Falls spent Saturday and Sunday visit ing hgr daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cochran and family in Sheep Creek. The occa sion being Mrs. Cochran’s birth day. Mr. and Mrs. John Avery re turned from Butte, Friday, after spending several days visiting rel atives and friends. The following Montana State college pupils from Bozeman spent the week-end visiting at the Paul Martinell home: Everett Martinell, Jack Bray, Pat Murphy, Steve Twickell, Richard Hophmon, Herb Golburge and Wilbur Larson. Bert Allen and Willie Inkret of Butte spent Saturday and Sunday visiting relatives and friends, also to try their hand at fishing; Ralph Quigley was a business visitor in Dillon, Wednesday. Mrs. May Cantrell of Dillon spent Saturday and Sunday visit ing at the ranch. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Martinell and family were dinner guests at the Dowling home Sunday. In Dillon, Monday, were Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Harkness, Mrs. Bernard Harkness and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Martinell. Mrs. Ed Kenison of Dillon is visiting with her son and daugh ter-in-law, Mr. arid Mrs. F. ;A. Kenison. , C. F. Peterson of Dillon \was a visitor in Sheep Creek, Monday. Mr. Peterson reports Mr. and Mrs. Harold Peterson will return from Rochester the last of this week. Mrs. Frank Hoffman spent the week-end in Idaho Falls on busi ness. M rs.'■ James Fleming has re turned from Dillon where she has been visiting at the William Flem ing home for some time. A large group of friends sur prised Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hark ness at their ranch home in Sheep Creek basin Monday night at a farewell party. Mr. and Mrs. Harkness are leaving on a trip that will take them through parts of Montana, Canada and Alaska. Cards and square dancing were enjoyed. Maurice Wolfe won high prize at cards for the men and Mrs. Wolfe was the lucky lady. Pot luck supper was enjoyed at a late hour. Mr. and Mrs. C. H.
