They brought Sharon* Byrt home who has been visiting in Idaho Falls for the past month with her grandmother and . grandfather, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Burt, Sr. Mrs. I. E, Pruitt returned home Sunday from a visit with her daughter Mrs. W. G. Schwede of Las Vegas, New Mexico. She was accompanied' home by her grand daughter, Martha Jeanne Pruitt of Rexburg, Ida. Mrs. Edna Blackburn of Dillon will conduct services at the Lima Community church Sunday at 11:30 a.rri. Sunday school every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Bible Study class will meet at the Lima Community church on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. James Pierce were visitors in Butte last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. David Freeman returned to Butte after spending the past two weeks visiting in Lima. Jack Bray who is a patient at the Barrett hospital is reported to be much improved. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Kenison, Jr. of Butte were calling on friends in Lima, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Stosich and Michael were in Idaho Falls on business Saturday. Mrs. A. E. Rose of Humphrey, Ida., and Mrs. Empey and Mrs. Ora Freeman drove to Idaho Falls Wednesday to see their new grand daughter Susan Rose. Mr. and Mrs. Hovie Cantrell and Linda spent several days vis iting in Montpelier, Ida. Mrs. Vernon Wing of Idaho Falls arrived in Lima Sunday to spend several days visiting. Mrs. Roy Smith attended Dist rict No. 4'-meeting of the V.F.W. which was held in Butte Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Anderson accompanied by Rickie Holton motored to Butte Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clark left for Missoula where they will visit relatives. Max Mye who spent the sum mer in Beaverhead county has left for his home in Carolina. Word has been received of the arrival of a baby girl born Oct. 23 to Mr. and Mi's. Bill Humprey of Los Angeles, Calif. Mrs. Hum phrey will be remembered as Ann Connor, a former resident of Lima. Mrs. Opal Casto of Dillon is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy McNinch. Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt Norman spent a few days in Bozeman vis iting their son who is in college there. The Lima Home Demonstration Club met at the home of Mrs. Luella Kellett on Tuesday, Oct. 24. A demonstration on softening water was given. A delicious lunch was served by the hostess. W ISDO M NEWS • Mrs. Mary Cottrell Vernon Ramsey who has been employed at the Bar-B ranch since January of this year re signed last week and with Mrs. Ramsey and two little daughters left Sunday for Fort Collins, Colo. Mr. Ramsey served in World War II in the Air Force in the Pan- American area and is considering re-enlisting. Mr. and Mrs. Hans Sarbach who own the ski area of West Yellow stone were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Roth on the Bar-B ranch. Mrs. Jessie Smith, who has been staying in Wisdom with her bro ther, Cloyd Wampler for about six weeks, left Thursday for Roches ter, Minn,, where she will receive treatment. She has lost her voice compltely and was in Rochester for surgical treatment during the early summer months. Bob DeLuere, who was hunting last week on Mud Creek with Bob Stevenson, got lost in the timber. Bob Stevenson waited for him at their camp, then went out to search for him with no results. He reported the lost hunter and Roy Baker and Charlie Shepherd went out to search for DeLuere who had wandered a long way and had come out on LaMarsch creek. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Anderson and son were guests last week at the Fred Rutledge ranch. While the men folks went hunting Mrs. Rutledge and daughter Lana and Mrs. Anderson motored to Glen to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rutledge. Mrs. Claude Andesson, accom panied by her son Raymond John son were visitors in Butte Mon day. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rasmussen and Barbara and Stan motored to the Bitter Root Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stewart of I Grantsdale. | Mr. and Mrs. Bill Christiansen of Hamilton were week end visit- I ors at the George Else ranch. Olie Heggelund were Anaconda visitors the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs, Melvin McDowell attended the Rotary Halloween party in Butte Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Taft Allen and daughters Judy and Connie Rae of Deer Lodge were Wisdom visit ors Friday and Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Carlson and daughter, while enroute from their home in North Dakota to their other home in Richmond, Calif., stopped for a few days in Wisdom to visit Mr. and Mrs. Chet Bruns and son Clifton. Mr. and Mrs. Lindy Thompson and little daughter who spent most of the summer in the Grass hopper returned to the Big Hole Saturday and are making their home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Thompson on the Montgomery home ranch. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Williams went to Missoula with Mr. and Mrs. Clark Huntley Sunday to spend a few days with them. Mrs. Joe Arbour arrived Sunday to stay at the Williams ranch with their children during their absence. on a Halloween party at the school Monday evening • for the benefit of their parents and other patrons of the school. Many of them wore costumes and a great deal of fun was had by all in seeing the funny faces. Carole Kambich was mistress of ceremonies and announced the games, songs, and stunts. She made the grown-ups enter the games and thereby renew their youth. The boys furnished pop and the girls cake for the refresh ments. The £rown-ups then gave \treats” and favors so as to avoid the \tricks”. Not one car window was marked, we are glad to re port. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Devaney of Dillon, Mrs, ,C. P. Angeroth of Dalles Port, Wash., and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Carpita of Dillon were Sunday ‘dinner guests at the Pic- cone home. A young matron who doesn’t want her name in the paper is carrying her arm in a sling as a result of a fight with a« buck sheep in which the buck was the winner. It wasn’t Glen’s famous billy goat, either. We haven’t heard of his adventures lately. We hear the buck was quite playful also and resented a kick in the pants by the above-mentioned young lady. They visited Mrs. Reichle's sister and family. Mrs. Marie McLean, teacher of Reichle school, attended teachers convention Thursday and Friday in Great Falls. Mrs. Evarist Monscrez was a passenger on the bus Tuesday to Pocatello. The Rutledge family got a new Buick car in Butte Monday and will leave soon for the East where they will visit Mrs. Rutledge’s old home town in South Carolina. Alice Polish went on an FHA convention to Manhattan Iasi week-end.
