' • • CIGARS CI Neighborhood Notes a STION August 14 - Among those from here who attend- ed the Barnum & Bailey circus in Great Falls were !XII. and Mrs. Wm. McInnis and children, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Waymire and children, Chris Wayntire, Archie Byrne, Sam John- son, Walter Anderson, Jack 1Valker and the boys, George and Raymond. Mr. Leard, proprietor of- the Cas- cade Steam Laundry, is spending a very pleasant vacation at the Keeton ranch. A baseball game is being arranged between the Rocky Ridge Ramblers and the Geyser Reds for Sunday. Au- gust 18th. Mrs. G. H. Dodge and baby visited a short time with Spion Kop friends Friday evening. E. C. Cook drove from Sand Cou- lee Saturday evening and Sunday morning, Mr. and Mrs. Walker, they drove on to Geyser, Mr. Cook inspect- ing his -crop while on the trip. He is highly pleased 'with the condition of his crops in this section. The dance given by the Ramblers Saturday night was well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by every one. Sunday was a very quiet das' here. as almost everyone went to Raynsford and saw the Browns win from the Reds. Quite a number of cattle have been shipped out of here this week that have been bought by western buyers. Very good prices have been parai. Lewis Anderson returned Nlonday morning from a short trip to Great Falls Monday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Keeton and daiighter Jessie went to the mountains Monday morning to pick berries. The fanners in this section are mak- ing good use of the ideal weather to harvest their immense crops of first- class hay. Miss Mary Bodner will enjoy the day with ilelt friends. Jack Walker went to Stanford Nlon- day to have some 'dental work done, returning the same day. Joseph Kernaghan was taken sud- denly sick Monday night and the next day was taken to Belt, where he could receive medical attention. Mrs. Ker- naghan and the children, also George Kernaghan, accompanied him. Mrs. H. Rockstead and baby went to Belt Tuesday afternoon to attend the picnic. Mr. Rockstead will go today. Floyd Craham departed yesterday, also to attend the picnic. Ross Everson, the popular manager of the Rocky Mountain Elevator here, returned for a short visit with friends Tuesday and today will take - 43\ to Kalispell, where he will buy grain for the same company this season.. Mr. and Mrs Walker.. formerly of Oklahoma, were here Saturday be- tween trains. Mr. Walker expects'to he the grain buyer here this year. They are very pleasant people to meet and we trust will decide to locate here. RAYNSFORD August 13- NIrs. Malcolm Morrow, who has been the guest of her sister and broth- ers, went to Hlghwood Sunday to visit her son, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Bright. Mrs. Anna Faber of Great Falls is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hanson. Mr. and Mrs. Inouye, who have been visiting in Billings and Bridger, returned to Ravnsford Thursday. A young man near Kibbey went snipe hunting the other eve. He ar- rived home at 12 o'clock -but. oh. ‘vhere were the snipe? Mr. and Mrs. J. D. O'Connell of Belt were callers at the home of Steve Colarchik Sunday last. A large crowd gathered here Sunday last to witness the baseball game be- tween the Geyser and Raynsford teams. At the close the score stood 19 to 16 in favor of Raynsford. All enjoyed the game very much. Come again, boys. A large crowd from here went to Belt today to attend the picnic and the remainder are going on train - 43\ on XVednesday. DR. Herbert Learning is spending a few days in Great Falls. The last of the Osnes wool clip was hauled to Geyser Monday. Messrs. Thornquist and Hanson, who !lave been engaged in this work, will now assist in haying on the Osnes rantlt Dale E. Delany returned to ,his home in Beach, N. D., Monday, alter a three weeks' visit with relatives here: Mr. Delany, in company with his cousin, Mrs. XV. A. Harris, had the pleasure of climbing Square Butte, from whose summit a magnificent view of the surrounding country can be obtained. Ted Beadle of Black Rock visited friends in Knerville a couple of days last week. • Mrs. Matt Troy, Mrs. Thos. Mc- Keone. Mrs R. E. Dickson and Mrs. Louis Save visited Nits. Lucy Brach Tuesday. Mrs. Ed Boyd is taking treatment at the Fort Benton sanitarium. George Dickinson of Great Falls spent a few days last week at the Dickinson homes. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Byrne of Alton are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Hutton for a few weeks. ROCKY RIDGE. The Misaes Anderson and Emil Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. John Kinkaid and family went berrying on' Little Belt last Tuesday. Mrs. John Kesherman drove to Raynsford last Monday on business. Quite a crowd gathered at Rayns- ford last Sunday to see Geyser get beat and believe me! we were not disap- pointed this time. Miss Susan Watkins and NI iss Ruth Atkinson visited Miss ChriSsie Cam- eron last XVednesday. John Spalding is now working for John Kesherman, putting up hay. Nlost of the farmers of this vicinity went to Belt Wednesday to take in the celebration. They all report a - good time: Miss Edna Lindstrum of Lewis- town visited friends on the Ridge last week. John Kesherman has his big barn finished now and we will all celebrate there Saturday night, Aug. 47. The Ramblers' dance was well at- tended from Rocky Ridge and all other sections of the country. MONTANA Building Big Bridge Work is being pushed upon the erection of the big steel bridge across the Judith river on the Moccasin - Lewistown branch of the Great Nor- thern and it is believed that the bridge will be completed within a month.1 This bridge, which will be 1.900 feeti in length and about 100 feet high, will he constructed of steel girders some- what similar to the Great Northern bridge 'across the Missouri river at Great Falls.
