Last Sunday a wind and sand storm visited this section and for a while it , was something fierce, blowing over small buildings and scatteting minor things all over. GEYSER—SPION KM' Excitement at Dover. Dover was a lively place for a sho t time Christmas afternoon. About three o'clock the alarm was spread that Phippens barn was on fire and help was hastened to the scene but was too I late to save the barn fir:tin being burned ' to the ground. Two horses and some harness were burned up with the barn. Stockholms saloon was saved by the most arduous efforts of the bucket'bii- gade. A rather modern method of fighting fire was employed. While some were working getting buckets others were breaking bottles of pop and beer against the side of the build- ing thus staying the flames until the buckets could be secured.—Stanford World.
