Henry Elder, Who occupied a cab-, in near that of Mr. Smith, seeing the latter's door open, went over to see him. Rushing to him Mrs Elder found him brenthinIflis last.. Word that Mr.. Smith was dead was brought to town at once and a telegram was sent to his brother who resides at Cameron, Mo., and who will come- to Whitehall at once. The remains of the deceased wrrc brought to the Less under- taking ertabliehtant where they await the arrival of the brother. The deceased was a single man and about forty years of age.
