More about this newspaper

M. A. Frissell was the sole owner and editor of the Yellowstone Valley Star. The first issue was published in July 1910. Reporting in 1913-1914 covers the debate and creation of Richland County, which Frissell was in favor of. While including all the non-news stories (fiction, “educational/cultural” stories, profiles of famous/interesting people, etc.) typical of the time, The Star also reported on the important and mundane things happening in the lives of the people of Savage and the surrounding areas. It is unknown when The Star stopped publishing, but by Sept 1924, M. A. Frissell was living in Wyoming running The Buffalo Bulletin.
