More about this newspaper

The first issue of the Toston Times, January 18, 1923, contains introductions from both C.C. Anderson, the editor, and W.E. Ballard, the publisher. Both emphasize how impressed they are by the local businessmen and how they aim to support both the businessmen and farmers in the area for the improvement of the all. Only eight issues survive, 5 in January/February 1923 and 3 in August/September 1924. In the early issues, the paper is smaller and focused almost entirely on local news, mostly from Toston but with a section about Radersburg and with editorials often covering state issues. The later issues are longer with more non-Montana content, and by the last issue, The Toston Times is being published in Three Forks.
