The preamble to the constituOon rune ae The history of our times has taught us that many advantages may be obtained through co-operation and concerted ac timi on the part of those engaged in the same or similar enterprises and hides. tries. The constant nggression; of certain persons and lactioas to injure and de ; stroy, the business of the rL tail liquor dealera remind us of the duty cc owe to ourselves, as well as to the public and to the cause of personal liberty in general. to unite and present a solid front to our enemies. 'therefore we resolve to organ- ize, the better to enable to resist turtle aggressions upon our business, which in all civilized countries is recognized as an honorable one where guarded and pro- tected by state and local governments. We ask but simple justice at the hands of our legislators—we ask for no more rights than are accorded any other class of business men, and realizing that such , rights are due us as citizeus and tax ere, we are determined to obtain and maintain them by all lawful and honor- able means at our disposal. HOBE SAPPHIRES THAN EVER. The Yield of the Togo Mines are to be Greatly Increased. There is to be a revival of activity in the Yogo sapphire mines of the New Mines Sapphire syndicate and the pro- duct of the property is to be increased to its capacity, says the Great Falls Tiib- une. We have come out to start work on a larger eaple than e'er before. In the past we have been work- ing tbe mines by the hydraulic system. Now we are going to. mine right. By that I mean we are going to sink shafts and drift, just as mines of other kinds are worked, and we will do away with the primitive hydraulic methods. Years ago our engineer told us that in time we would have to resort to shafts and levels and that time would be when we had worked the surface. Then they are returned to the United States, and the New York market will handle all the sapphires we can get out. Now that we have decided togo after the gems in the right way we may look for- ward to a greatly hit:rested product.
