Cyrus Newton will Entertain a Kendall Audleaco—A Rare Treat. Wednesday (tomorrow) evening the people of Kendall a ill have the oppor- tunity of being entertained by that dis- tinguished humorist and comedian, Cyrus Brownlee Newton, a man who to- day stands in the front rank of his pro- fession. It is seldom indeed that the people of a small town have the privilege of hearing so prominent a man as New- ton, for artists of his stamp are claimed by the large cities of the country. Mr. Newton's present tour has been one of uninterrupted success. The press seems to be unanimous in its views of his ability to entertain an audience. As is the case with all truly great artiste in his line, Newton's humor is spontane- ous arid of the highest order; it is whole- some, and appeals to the very best that is in one'e nature. In an extended notice of his appear ance in San Francisco, the Examiner said: \He captured hie audience imme- diately. Mr. Newton appeared in Lewistown Monday evening before an audience that filled the theater to the doors. With the audience it was one round of . laughter, with a tear now and then ; for Newton can move one to tears es well as provoke merriment.
