Mrs. R. D. Young, of Lewistown, was a guest of Mrs. Ernest Ehbage for sever- al days last week. The Lewitown Meat & Provision Co. carry fresh meate, fish, home-made lard, and home-made hams and bacon. A base -ball game between Kendall and Lewistown teams is being arranged to take place in Kendall about a month hence, the exact date not yet known . A. R. Billy Mader met with *a painful acci- dent last Sunday morning while riding in the skip at the Barnes -King shaft. He was descending to the 200 foot level and while passing the 100 foot level the skip struck a projecting timber with such force as to give Mader a teirible jolt. The Montana railroad Was completed as far as Garneil last Saturday .night and trains are 'low runeing to that point. It saves 26 miles of staging from Harlow - ton to Lewietown. The,_ distance now traveled by the stage coach is 36 miles end that distance will he cut down al- together by September 1st. when travel- ers may ste e poff the traie at Lewistown. Lewietown is growing fast but not too fast to I* substantial. Tihe old buildings of the county seat are being replaced by handsome solid stone structures and numerous bueineee blocks are going up' where none were before. Lewistown is the pride of Fergns county.
