The gold found is literally pure and is worth $20 to the ounce. The intense excitement will result in the exploration of hundreds and thousands of square miles of virgin territory in north wcetern Arizona, in all of which Mineral possi- bilities abound. The new fields are located a few miles menthwest of Kingman ill the broken foot hills in the Cervat and liallapai mountain ranges. The 'gold is found free in stratified reefs of spar rock and runs from $10 to $500 to the ton. It is said that the whole country at one time was covered by it great volcanic effluvia. but in places the volcanic matter has heen eroded away, leaving sections of the primary formation ex postal.
