The Eklund Photo Studio Jin the Gay Building will he open Sunday, March 8th. • 9 - Mr. and Mrs. Jack Davis were called to Big Horn, -Wyo., Saturday morning, by the death of Mrs. Laura Jane Bowker, wife of Mrs. Davis' brother, Ira A. Bowker, postmaster and pro- prietor of the Big Horn store, which ortairred at the family home there, the evening before, after an illness of several weeks duration. Mr. and Mrs. Bowker had been residents of Big Horn but a short time, having moved there from Newcastle, which had been their home foe years. Besjdes her husband, Mrs. Bow- ker is survived by three grown children, two daughbers and a son, residents of 'Newcastle, where the funeral was held Monday afternoon at two o'clock under the auspices of the East- ern Star chapter of that place, of which she was an honored member. Nishino sale at Garryowen. He w R driving along at about a mile dip when he met some In- dians driving a wagon. The Indians, as usual, kept their side of the road, leaving plenty of room for Henry to pass, but just as he came along -side one of the teams, a colt which was following ran out from behind the wagon and before he could stop the car or turn enough to miss it, he had struck it with the front wheel and momentar- ily lost control of the car with the result of going into the ditch at the side of the road and smashing two of the wheels of the ear. Luckily no one was hurt. • The colt susbained a broken leg and had to be killed. The accident happened on the gravel road a few miles this side of Crow Agency. - SURPRISE PARTY FOR MRS. A. E. CALAHAN Mrs. H. W. Bunston was hostess to the Ladies' Circle yesterday afternoon. The na- ture of the meeting' was a sur- prise birthday party for the president, Mrs. A. E. Calahan. The members presented her with a beautiful potted plant and numerous handkerchiefs. The church parlors were deco- rated for the occasion. A de- licious lunch was served, the main feature of which was an immense birthday cake.
