While there is no government gauge in the city of Hardin, street thermometers registered from 106 to 110 in the shade, de- pending on location. One of the thermometers on the Vont of the Sibley Drug Co. store and three children were in the city Wednesday f r om their non -irrigated farm on the east side of the river, about 12 miles north of Hardin. They report the thermometer on Tuesday registered 108 degrees in the Shade at their place. Despite the fact that most of the rains the past several weeks have given that section the go-by, their wheat promises to make a fair yield. -0 Mr. and Mrs. Robb C. Brown motored down from their home at Laurel, Monday, and spent a couple of days here visiting friends and giving their non - irrigated farm on Pine ridge, northwest of Hardin, the once- over for the first time since leaving it seven years ago. They have both eve r since been employed at clerical work in the Northern Pacific rail- road offices at Laurel. Their many friends here were pleased t.0 see them again. Miss Martha L. Eder, county club agent, reports that the Indian children of the Crow and Cheyenne reservations are tak- ing a deep interest in 4-H club work. As an evidence there are 212 Indian boys and girls en- rolled on the two reservations. The 74 Crow boys are carrying on the potato and poultry club projects. Eighty-nine Crow girls are enrolled in the cloth- ing and foods clubs. Every Cheyenne boy of club age, who attended the Busby school, is enrolled in one or more pro- jects. The 48 Cheyenne boys are enrolled in the potato, corn and garden clubs. Club work among the, Cheyenne girls will be started this fall.
