Numer- ous inquiries have been receiv- ed by the department concern- ing the special archery season. The present open season on black bear, which opened March 15 and ends November 22, also allows the hunting of this species by bow as well as rifles. A new law, passed during the 1959 legislature, also authorizes the fish and game commission to set up a special archery season for elk and antelope when such areas are found where this type of hunting would be desirable. However, up to this time, no elk or antelope special archery areas have been determined. Miller Taking Infantry Course Pvt.
