Mrs. Opp and children were enroute to the coast. Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bennett and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wright were Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Burton of Pres- ton, Ida. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Adams are visiting here with the latter's mother, Mrs. Loretta Gable and other friends and relatives. Mr. Adams attends Nebraska univ- 1 ersity in Lincoln. Mrs. George Sauble visited. from Friday through Monday with her son and daughter-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hot- zel. She returned to her home in Livingston Monday noon. Arriving Monday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Smith and family were Mrs. Smith's father, Don Castle, and sister-in-law, Mrs. Don Castle Jr. and two children from Alta, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rounslee and two childten left Monday to return to their home in Ken- newick after spending a week here visiting Mr. and Mrs. James L. Taylor and family. VACATION? Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Grone- wald and infant son arrived here Monday morning from Wis- consin where the former had attended summer school. Mr. Gronewald is the high school science teacher. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stinger went to Missoula Monday afternoon to visit briefly with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Don Stinger, and bring their two granddaughters, Yvonne and Donna, home to Thompson Falls for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald E. Whal- en and two children of Seattle and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jacks of Noxon visited here Sunday with Mr. Whalen's grandmother, Mrs Anna Whalen Perry. They, went on to Yellowstone park with Mrs. Jacks accompanying them. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Macho and daughter left Friday for Pull- man, Wash. to make their home. Mr. Macho has accepted a posi- tion with the Research depart- ment of Washington State col- lege and also plans to work on his degree at WSC. Mrs. Carol Gibson and Mrs. Ann Behan and little son, Jef, all of Ketchikan, Alaska, visited with Ann's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Ainsworth Sun- day en route to Missoula for a visit. They drove through here from Alaska. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wright and two daughters, Karan and Kathleen, and Miss Jane Ben- nett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bennett, are spending this week in Pocatello, Ida. visit- ing friends and relatives and in Odgen visiting their son. They left Saturday and will return Sunday. A recent guest of Mrs. Rose Flemming, Mr. and Mrs. Clar- ence Heiman and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Luke was Mrs. Pearl Johnston of San Francisco, a niece of the former. While spending a week here, Mrs. Johnston was taken on a trip to Glacier park and to Missoula by Mrs. Flemming and Mr. and Mrs. Heiman. She left last week for Clark Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dodson were the attendants. Following the ceremony, punch and cake were served to the guests. Later Mr. and Mrs. Helms left on a honeymoon trip to Banff National park in Canada. Guests at the ceremony in- cluded Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Haase, Mrs. Kathy Willson, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kraus and Rita, Miss Lois Kraus, Mr. and Mrs. Don Ralstin and three children of Missoula, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Peterson and children, Marie Peterson and Rollie Purcell. Upon their return from Canada, Mr. and Mrs. Helms will make their home up Thompson river. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stinger over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bentley of Spokane. Their son, Mike, who had been visiting for two weeks with his grandparents here, re- turned home with Mr. and Mrs. Bentley. They also visited Mr. Bentley's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Con Bentley Sr. Guests last week from Thurs- day to Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sharp and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Sharp and families were Mr. and Mrs. Victor Wood of lone, Wash. and Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Sharp of Colville, Wash. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Sharp are parents of Mrs. Wood and Har- old and Glenn. Pete Preston and his sister, Mrs. Margaret Dubia, returned Saturday from a visit to Spo- kane with their brothers, Mike and Franklin and families. While there they attended the exhibi- tion game between the Spokane Indians and the parent Los Angeles Dodgers. Friday night they saw the Indians play San Diego. Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Gibson and son, Danny, of Grants Pass, Ore. spent Monday and Tuesday visiting the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gibson, and brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Roy McKenzie. They returned to Wallace Tuesday to spend the remainder of this week with Mrs. Gibson's par- ents, but will return here again next week. Mrs. Evans Dickson - Evans Vows Exchanged TROUT CREEK—The wed- ding of Miss Linda Marie Dick- son to Robert E. Evans in Grandview, Wash. July 23, has been announced by the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs J. Leonard Dickson of Trout Creek. Rites for the young couple took place in the Christian church in Grandview with the Rev. Graybeal in charge of the candlelight ceremony. The bride was dressed in a biege suit with white accessories and wore a bronze mum corsage. They are presently at home in Grandview where Mr. Evans is employed in construction work. He is the son of Mrs. Ray Welling of Wallace, Ida. Mrs. Evans was graduated from Thompson Falls High school with the class of 1954 after which she attended and was graduated from Kimnan Business university in Spokane. She was employed by Inland Freight Co. of Spokane until her marriage. Mr. Evans was graduated from Wallace High school and has been engaged in construc- tion work. Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Colwell & family of Spokane visited here Sunday with the latter's broth- ers, George, Kelly and Gerald Green and their families. Their son, Mike, had been here for a week with the Kelly Green family, having returned with them the previous week when Mr. Green went to Spokane to bring Mrs. Green and the chil- dren home. Mrs. Green had visit- ed for a week with her sister, Mrs. Dick Flanigan and family. Evelyn Koontz Notes Birthday Miss Evelyn Koontz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Koontz, celebrated her 10th birthday with a picnic luncheon at the Montana Power park Friday. Shower Honors Sandra Miller Miss Sandra Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Miller, who will be married later this month, was honored at a public shower Thursday evening in the Community Congregational church annex. Sandra's mother is worthy matron of the OES this year and Sandra is a past worthy advisor and state representative of the Rainbow girls. New Barber, Family Arrive Mr. and Mrs. Dennis O'Brien and son, Michael, 13, moved Sunday into the former Bender building, which they recently purchased. Mr. O'Brien plans to open Denny's Barber Shop in the building about Aug. 20. He is a native of Montana, having lived for 32 years in Cut Bank. For the past eight years he has been a barber in Spokane. Michael will enter the eighth grade this fall. Missionary To Talk Here The Rev. Harold Whitney, mis- sionary of the Pentecostal Church of God, will speak to local citizens Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 8 p.m., ac- cording to the Rev. Sowell. The Rev. Whitney has just returned from the West Indies and Cuba and will speak on the islands work Thursday. After completing his current tour in the states he will return for further work in Jamaica. \Everyone wishing to hear him, is very welcome,\ Mrs. Sowell said.
