• 4 -SANDERS COUNTY LEDGER Thursday, Dec. 24, 1959 County Commissioner's Proceedings PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF SANDERS COUNTY, MON- TANA Monday, December 7th, 1959 The Board of County Commis- sioners of Sanders County met in regular session on Monday, December 7th, 1959 at 9:30 o'- clock A.M. Present were H. E. Smith, Chairman, John F. Har- wood and Jesse W. Lee, Commis- sioners and Dorothy Dodscin, Clerk. The minutes of the last re- gular meeting were read and approved. T'he Treasurer was ordered to make a cash transfer of $3500.00 from the General Fund to the Fair Fund. The remainder of the day was spent in auditing claims, the Board adjourning at 4:30 o'clock P.M. Wednesday, December 9th, 1959 The Board of County Com- missioners of Sanders County met in regular session on Wed- nesday, December 9th, 1959 at 9:30 o'clock A.M. Present were all its members and officers. The October and November reports of the County Treasurer and the quarterly report of Walter S. Lindsay, Justice of the Peace were approved and order- ed filed. The following officers were given permission to leave the state for short intervals of time during the next sixty days: H. E. Smith, John F. Harwood, Jesse W. Lee, Dorothy Dodson, Orin P. Kendall, Harvey W. Brauer, Ralph E. Goode, James H. Smith, Alex C. Morrison, Wal- ly Britton, Vance Shrider, One E. Heater, E. H. Davis, Philip V. Bender, James K. Mason, Walter S. Lindsay, W. B. Bendenhall, J. B. Cassady, and James M. Isbist- er. Upon motion by John F. Har- wood and seconded by Jesse W. Lee the following Resolution was adopted: IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, That a Poll Tax be levied up- pon all residents of Sanders County, between the ages of twenty-one (21) and sixty (60) years of age, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 71-106 R.C.M., 1947. NOW, THEREFORE, It is hereby resolved, that a Special Poor Fund poll tax of Two Dollars ($2.00) be and the same is hereby levied upon each resident of Sanders county, Montana, in accor- dance with the provisions of Chapter 71-106 R.C.M., 1947. The resignation of James B. Cassady, Justice of the Peace of Hot Springs Township was ac- cepted by the Board. The application of the County to the State Highway Commis- sion for a County road to enter Highway 10A approximately 1 4 mile NW of the town of Plains, was accepted by the State and the Clerk was ordered to file same. The Board completed the auditing of the claims and the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants on respective funds in payment of same. Commissioners Smith, Har- wood and Lee were authorized to attend to all necessary road and bridge matters in the county during the next thirty days. The Board adjourned at 4:30 o'clock P.M. H. E.
