Mr. and Mrs. Bob Heater will arrive today from Flathead Lake to spend Christmas with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. One Heater, and their son, Gary. Miss Jo Garrison is spending the Christmas holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Garrison. She is a student at WMCE in Dillon. Mrs. Susan Thayer will leave today for Anaconda to spend the holidays with her son, Ly- man, and her daughter and fami- ly, Mr. and Mrs. George Havens and children. SN John Pritzkau arrived home Friday night to visit hill parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Pritzkau, and brothers and sis- ters until Jan. 12, when he will repat to Port Hueneme, Calif. for assignment to Guam. He has been stationed for the past sev- eral months at Kodiak Naval Station, Alasko. We extend to all our friends greetings of the season. May you find true happiness. They plan to remain here until after New Year's Day. Dave Torrence of Billings will arrive today from Missoula to spend Christmas with his fiancee, Miss Jo May Mellinger, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Mellinger. Dave is a student at MSU in Missoula. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Neumiller and sons of Wallace will arrive today to spend the Christmas holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Luke and Mrs. Elizabeth Neumiller, and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Mary Todd left Sunday for Atwater, Calif., where she expects to spend the winter visit- ing her son, Capt. Kenneth Todd and family. Captain Todd is as- signed to the Air Force base at Merced, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ross and two daughters of Coeur d'Alene arrived today to spend Christmas with the former's mother, Mrs. Lila Ross. They may also visit Mrs. Ross' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kelly in Missoula. Miss Ruby Sheffer left Thurs- day for Plentywood to spend Christmas and New Years with her mother, Mrs. Leonard Peele, and brothers and sisters. She will return to Thompson Falls Jan. 3. James Smith and his fiancee, Miss Camie Peterson of Missoula, spent the weekend at the home of the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James H. Smith. The young couple returned to Missoula Monday. but Jim returned home Wednesday for Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Gary J. Hanson will arrive tonight from Choteau to spend Christmas with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Han- son and Melvin Hoy. They were transferred recently to Chateau from Cut Bank by the Mountain States Telephone Co. State Sen. and Mrs. E. H. Mahoney and son, Mike, left Monday for Fresno, Calif. to spend Christmas visiting the former's brother-in-law and sist- er, Mr. and Mrs. Dorman Turni- pseed and family. They expect to return Dec. 30. Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Duffield and children left yesterday for Great Falls to spend Christmas with their other daughter, Karen, a second year student at Columbus School of Nursing, and their parents, Mr .and Mrs. W. P. Libra, who will leave soon to make their home in Helena, were honored recently at a pot- luck dinner by members of the Garden club at the Glenn H. Larson home. The honorees were presented a gift and following dinner, games were the diversion of the evening. Present in addition to the Libras and the hosts were the J. H. Mikkelsons, R. H. Cor- netts, Gerald Greens, R. L. Lar- sons, Irvin Puphals and Richards Thiegs. In Hospital H. E. Smith, chairman of the Sanders county board of com- missioners, is reported seriously ill in the Sanders County Gener- al hospital in Hot Springs. He suffered a heart ailinent Fri- day. Henry Larson was expected to return home yesterday from the Community hospital in Missoula, where he has been confined for the past two weeks undergoing treatment. Mrs. Larson has been staying in Missoula with him. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Dufresne and children will leave tonight for Missoula to visit their par- ents, Mr. and Mrs. Armand Du- fresne, and Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Steck of Clinton. A family re- union wil be held at the Steck home in Clinton. The Rev. Olah Moore and her husband, Wayne, left by train Sunday evening for Aberdeen, S. Dak., where she will undergo a medical checkup. They will spend Christmas in South Dak- ota with Mr. Moore's mother and also visit other friends and relatives over the holidays. Jacquie Dufresne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Dufresne celebrated her 13th birthday Friday at the home of her par- ents. Classmates honoring her included Judy Cleveland, Judy Sylvia, Karen Repp, Karen Ed- wardson, Marcia Duffel, Sharon Smith, Gayle Taylor, Linda Mc- Kenzie, Cheryl Greene, Virginia Thurman, Lucille Perry, Debbie Kneeskern, Ina Lacy, Linda Gee and Joyce Newell. Cheryl Greene and Linda Gee were prize win- ners of the game played. Harvey Curran Jr. arrived home recently after completing six months of National Guard active duty at Ft. Ord and Camp Roberts, Calif. He plans to enter Montana State college for the winter quarter in January and will attend summer school to make up for the fall quarter he missed. At MSC he will complete his military duty requirements with the ROTC. Harvey, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Curran Sr., is a 1959 graduate of Thom- pson Falls High school. • MED. Silcox Chap- ter O.E.S. was held Tuesday evening at the Masonic Temple with Worthy Matron Mary Miller and Worthy Patron Calvin Wil- son presiding. The appointment of Ruth Ann Green to the office of Grand Representative of Nova Scotia. Grand Chapter of Montana, was announced. She was escorted to the East and given a hearty wel- come for the honor conferred upon the chapter by her ap- pointment. Gertrude Murray, Chairman of the International Peacegarden Committee reported that a total of $15.88 had been collected and turned in for that project. Gifts of red and white Christ- mas cane corsages were present- ed to all officers and members by the Worthy Vatron. Marjorie Cornett reported on her visit to Bear Paw Chapter 100. Big Sandy, Montana, upon the occasion of the official visita- tion of the Worthy Grand Mat- ron. Mrs. Cornetts son is Wor- thy Patron and her daughter-in- law holds the station of Esther in Bear Paw Chapter. While she was gone she also visited Beth- any Chapter No. 42 at Fort Ben- ton. The silver march for the even- ing netted $10.60 and was pre- sented to the Masonic Home Committee for use in buying gifts for the residents of the home. Following the meeting a Christmas party was held for the members in the dining room with a gift exchange and group carol singing. The tables were decorated with silvered pine boughs and cones, Christmas bulbs and candles. The lunch committee was com- posed of Frances Wills, Kathryn Willson, Mary Long, Virginia Cheney, Vera Kemmerer and Gertrude Murray. The next meeting will be held on January 5th at which time the members of the Order of Rainbow for Girls will be entertained.
