Each room will have some- thing to show and they ask all the moms and grandmas of the Ft. Kipp and Brock- ton community to please come to their party. STATE BAND FESTIVAL Thirty-two Poplar High School students travelled to the State Musit Festival at Billings, May Ist & 2nd and returned with a fine performance record. The students received two “superior” ratings, six \ex- cellent\ and two \good\ ratings. In addition, eight students performed at the grand concert with the All- State Band and All-State Chorus. Those receiving superior rat- ings were: Brass Choir - Robbie Buckles, Bill Sage, Shannon Moilanen, Linda Wetz, Myra Marson, Royal Beck, Elaine Iverson, Mitch Barnes, David Nass, Mike Quillen, Sarah Frederick, John Pease; and the Mixed Instrumental Ensemble - Donna Swank, Diane Ander- son, David Nass, John Pease, Raymond Dolezilek, Lorrie Iverson. Excellent ratings were won by the Boys Octet - Mickey McAnally, David Sage, Rocky Cummins, Keith Har- sted, Mike Quillen, Bob Atkinson, Mervin Failing, Ben Zimmerman; Flute solo- Donna Swank; Stage Band- Bonnie Iverson, Debbie Macdonald, Clem Lockman, Jean Ann Voorhees, Robbie Buckles, Bill Sage, Linda Wetz, David Nass, Mike Quillen, Joe Taflan, Larry Werner, John Pease, Rocky Cummins, Jim Taflan; Sax- French Horn Duet- Jean Anne Voorhees, and Shan- non Moilanen; Brass Septet- Robbie Buckles, Bill Sage, Shannon Moilanen, Mitch Barnes, David Nass, Elaine Iverson, John Pease; Per- cussion Duet- Raymond Dolezilek and Linda Wetz. Good ratings were received by the Saxophone Quartet- Bonnie Iverson, LeAnn Bro- wn, Diane Anderson, Karen Baker; and the Flute-Clar- inet Duet- Donna Swank and Raymond Dolezilek. The students performing in the All-State Band were: Donna Swank, Raymond Dolezilek, Jean Ann Voor- hees, and Shannon Moilanen.
