Tourna- ment whist was the main feature of the evening, there being 16 tables in all. Mrs. Ross Hargrave won first ladies' prize, a hand -decorated plate: - Charles Augustine won first gent's prize, box of stationery. Mrs. Guimont and Joe Charette won the consolation. prizes. A dainty repast was served, after which the balance of the evening was spent in dancing. The ladies cleared a . generous amount, owing to the fact that the Odd Fellows kindly donated the hall after their regular meeting. SUNDAY BALL GAME DRAWS BIG CROWD - The ball game Sunday afternoon be- tween the Superior Wonders and Slab Pete's Muckers resulted in a victory for the latter by a Score of 15 to 12. The game was fast and furious and was attended by a large crowd of inter- esting spectators. Undersheriff Hoffman went to Missoula Monday, evening, return- ing this morning with W. B. Gra- ham, who will appear beforethe district judge today. Superintendent F. E. and E. S. Barrett, attorney Milwaukee, Monday. MYERS ROBBED On Saturday morning, the 15th inst., Thomas Myers, employed with a Mil- waukee extra gang, who was riding in a boxcar, was held up between Su- perior and Albertan by four of his fel- low -passengers and his watch and money taken. The miscreants were apprehended and brought before Jus- tice Franklin, giving the names of James Kelly, Ray Taylor, Ed Moran GRAND JURY The Grand Jury is composed of the following: J. W. MacDon- ald, Paul Westfall, Jacob Krulatz of Superior, Thos. 0. Kay of St. Regis, Jas. Miner of Cobden, Mr. Flynn and Geo. Gerrity of Alber- ton. and Joe Ferrill. They waived prelim- MISSOULA LAWYERS inary examination and were taken to jail in Missoula. Monday they appeared before the district court and Judge Duncan appointed J. R. McClelland to defend them. A deputation was en- tered into between the county attorney and Lawyer McClelland to plead the case on the evening of the 22nd. WOMAN TO WARM SPRINGS Dr. Fred Fulcher came down from Saltese Friday with Mrs. B. McGee, the young woman recently sent ,to the Wallace hospital for treatment. Her mental condition not improving, she was committed to the hospital for the insane and taken to Warm Springs by Sheriff! The grand jury empaneling is progressing nicely and will undoubtedly be com- pleted today. Several prominent law- yers from Missoula are present, among them being E. C. ,Mulroney, appearing for the county commissioners, Attor- neys Whitlock and Parsons for special clients, Charles A. Hills, attending to matters pertaining to the county attor- ney's office, and A.
