INVITATION TO BID Subcontractors and suppliers as listed below are invited to submit bids for the construction of the Kootenai Round House and the caretaker’s residence at Dayton, Montana. Subcontractors: Equipment and labor for earthwork, roads, water, sewer and electrical, concrete, rock masonry, carpentry, roofing, insulation, sheet rocking, painting, flooring, plumbing and electrical. Working knowledge of allied profes sions such as psychology, medicine, vocational rehabilitation, etc. Knowledge of cultural, political, socio-economic conditions of the Flathead Indian Reservation area. Comprehensive knowledge of available community health and treatment re sources and social service agencies, including their respective eligibility requirements. Skill in interviewing, preparing social service plans, conducting individual and group work, interact ing within community organizations, facilitating, coordinating, case management and consultation. Ability to assess, interpret and incorporate appropriate program policies and medical social work procedures. High level of written communication and speaking ability. TITLE: Homemaker (1 part-time position in the Ronan Area) LOCATION: Tribal Health Department SALARY: Classification B - Pay Level 11 DUTIES: Services will be provided to elderly only, to include: Cooking and preparing meals, shopping for food supplies, medicine, paying bills and other necessary errands; doing light, general housework; observing clients’ physical and mental condition; providing emotional support; and keeping appropri ate records by working and coordinating with the Public Health Nurse in that area. QUALIFICATIONS: Nurse’s Aide training and/or Human Services training preferred. Training in nutrition and elderly special diets. Experience in working with elders. Knowledge of Reservation community, social services providers, personal care practices, and client recordkeeping. Ability to show inter est in and effectively deal with elders. TITLE: Drafting Technician SALARY: Classification C - Pay Level 12 LOCATION: Pablo, MT - Natural Resources Department DUTIES: Preparing base mapsforfuture digitization showing various natural resources themes according to specified Geo graphic Information System (GIS) guidelines; preparing graphic representations of written or numerical data, in both draft and final form; updating existing maps and other graphics; manipulating the GIS system when requested to produce paper maps of digitized themes; measuring areas and Linear dis tances on maps and aerial photographs; and other related duties as assigned by the Natural Resources Department Head. QUALIFICATIONS: High school degree or G.E.D. and at least two years of post-high school formal training in drafting, architectural drawing, cartography, or a closely related field is required. Two full years of work experience in one or more of these fields may be substituted for formal college training. Knowledge of professional drafting techniques; familiarity with a variety of maps, scales, and techniques. Drafting or carto graphic skill; skill in map interpretation; skill in operation of aGIS computer-based mapping system or the willingness and ability to learn.
